The way I see it, it is like 5 half finished games, but so many people love it? My question is why? Sure, I'm not a fan of the series, but I still didn't like it.

Even if I'm not a fan of the series, it should still have solid gameplay, which I don't think it has.

Half finished? I think Half life 2 is worth a buy alone. Episode 1 and 2 are awesome editions to my favorite FPS. Portal is the most innovative game in years IMO and it it's length was perfect, just enough to keep every level fresh and make me want more. Team Fortress 2 I didn't like so... yeah. But it was a great buy.

Half finished? What the heck are you talking about. Team Fortress 2 which is the best online shooter in years and years, along with Half LIfe 2 and the episodes, and to top it all off with Portal. Its a great deal.

Team Fortress 2 is not trash, it just has a bigger learning curve then most games, and is also very team based oriented.

HL2 is one of the best (and complete) games of all time. Along with Episode 1 and 2 that are EPISODES, that have more value, sadly, than some games out there. Portal is an excellent game, short of course (it's a puzzle game), but too bad you can't get custom maps like in the pc version. TF2 is also a complete multiplayer game, but it's also too bad you don't get the updates, official maps, and custom maps of the PC version.

Put all of these together and you get one of the best deals in the history of the video game industry.

Someone didn't take their happy pills this morning

So far you've created 3 threads in the 360 forum, each moaning about a different game. If you don't like it - stop playing.

Have you found the System Wars forum yet? I think you'd fit right in there

You dislike alot of big games do ya :P

I dont care for Half life or team Fortress, I rented it for Portal but I got enjoyment from everything aside from TF2 (Hated it). Im eager to see how Episode 3 turns out. Still just renting though.

This guys is clearly delusional. Just about anything Valve touches is gold, including one of the top 5 FPS of all time with Half Life 2, and maybe another top 10 FPS experience with Episode 2. Now you just got those two games for the price of 1, plus another great and innovative game in Portal, and two more good experiences in episode 1, and Team Fortress (which is actually my least favorite piece). My guess is that this guy just couldnt get through some of the thinking puzzles and was expecting to sprint through the whole game like COD4. Dude, if your that stuck, just shoot the red barrels, watch the swinging log smash the wall, and get back in your boat.

Are you serious? It's your opinion, I'm not going to attack you for it. But I think the Orange Box is probably one of the best video gaming packages you can buy. It has Half Life 2 (the best game ever made in my opinion), as well as episodes 1 and 2 which expand on the Half Life 2 story, as well as expand on the incredible gameplay that you experience throughout Half Life 2. Then you get Portal, which I'm not really into puzzle type games, but this game was amazing. Top it off with Team Fortress 2 for an incredible multplayer experience and you've really got the total gaming package. Only thing missing from the 360 version in my opinion is Half Life 2 Deathmatch plus all of the crazy mods from the PC versions.

Honestly that one isn't really that funny. I prefer "Chuck Norris destroyed the periodic table because he only recognizes the element of surprise."

OnTopic: Seriously, I really only bought The Orange Box for Portal, and I definetely feel I got more than my money's worth out of it. In fact, I haven't even played Half-Life 2 yet.

On Topic: Portal IS worth the 50 bucks alone, your right on that... Because I'd already played the Half Life series on my computer, I only did one quick playthrough for the heck of it, and then spent WAAAY to much time on Portal...

Off Topic: That joke isn't THAT funny, in its self... But if you've seen the Family Guy episode with it in it, then you'd be cracking up right now... That was so funny.........

I only ever liked Portal from the package. That was great. The Half-Life episodes feel like a chore to get through. I still haven't gone back to them for a while.

If they like FPS or lets just say 'shooters' + the best deal out there with a good story to back it up, I don't see why they wont.

I had no idea what Half Life was until I got Orange Box recently, and I must say that HL2 has one of the best stories ever for a FPS. Gameplay aside, it's worth a playthrough for the story.

Also, you just get so much in one little package. I'm happy with my purchase, although I think TF2 stinks.

the fact is that by playing it at this time, other games will obviously overshadow it... you have to consider the generation when it was released. I believe half life 2 was released in 2004, roughly the same time as halo2 and GTA:SA. Compare the games prior to HL2 not the ones that came after it...

It`s one of the greatest game packages ever created. Half Life is one of the best FPS series, Portal was very innovative and fun, and Team Fortress 2 is some of the most fun I`ve had on an online shooter in quite a while.

Half-finished? LOL It's a great deal. Half-Life and the expanisons are enough but they threw in Portal and TF2 which made it better.
