Im talking about games lack of splitscreen, its lame. Why does crackdown have online co-op but I cant play with my friend who I actually want to play with. The Wii geometry wars gets mulitplayer and 360 is left out. Why does Halo 2 have 4 player online splitscreen while rainbow six and shadowrun doesn't? Gears of War has it but only 2 players? I pray Halo3 keeps the 4 player... Will gamers with friends just have to play sports games all day or just watch their friends and take turns with the troll and a minigun, because I mean come on its so much more fun to watch... Looks like its back to aegis wing a game that got it right.

Crackdown splitscreen would require rendering two parts of the city similtaneously...it would be too much for the system.

Geometry Wars for the Xbox 360 is 1.5 years old...how about you don't compare it to a game that was just announced.

In my opinion, playing games with friends is somewhere near the least fun you can have if you are with friends already. But that's personal preference.

They don't include it because they feel like people don't need it anymore. Which is kind of true. It's less used these days. Online is what they are focusing on.

Well..same system multiplayer is great for when I have a lot of people over... Since I can keep a good 4 - 6 people occupied with the system (playing/watching) and since I live in the suburbs, my yard isn't big enough for football. and my room can only do 3v3.

I dont know but I play halo2 with my friends all the time and its fun as hell and they could do grand theft auto type multiplayer where its the same screen. I would rather play video games with friends then play them at all. And why do you think super smash bros was so popular?

Because you no longer need real friends to play games. We're trying to kill off the amazingly fun environment N64 created. (4 peeps in a room jammin) At least my Wii still caters to having real people with me, in my house, existing together and having fun.... I'd just prefer to game with my pal Richard at my house than some kid named Emoboi335522 or the like on Live.... but that's just me.

Also in a college town I do play a whole lot of real life sports with my friends like football basketball and soccer, or go jump off bridges, and eat, and go to practice, blah blah, but you cant be running around all day. All im saying is games like crackdown and shadowrun would be a whole lot better with more same system multiplayer.

Personally, I hate splitscreen....especially with numerous players. with such a limited field of view, things get ridiculous, and the sound is all blended together.

I guess this will be solved when I get around to buying an Xbox 360 Elite as well.

I'd rather play online co-op then splitscreen so each of us get the whole screen to ourselves.

for some reason people don't have real friends anymore and everyone has internet friends :P no but seriously i with there was still local multiplayer in ALL games.  cause i invite friends over a lot and we like to play together instead of people forced to play with people we don't know on xbl

So you're saying I should tell my 12 year old son to move out and get a 360 of his own so we can play games together.  That is the lamest thing I've seen on this board all day.

ITs like the exact same. I have a 15 inch and a 45 inch. Its not like the gun is the same size on the 40 inch as it is on the 20 inch, so you can see more. Everything is blown up, its the same exact view and perspective, you can just see more detail on the screen. The gun gets just as big and takes up just as big of a porportion on the screen as it has always taken up. And on HAlo3 BETA(its a beta so it might not be final), on split screen, the sides of the screen were black, it was super gay like super hero gay
