Why do you play Video games.Whats your favourite game of all-time??

Yeah, your probably right cause im 19 and i picked Zelda for n64 cause thats my favorite of all time. My current favorite game is COD4, but by spring 09 it will probably be KZ2.

Why do we play games??? For fun I reckon, thats kinda a gimme. Now as for favorite game of all-time, well thats a much harder question to answer. Way too many games I've played throughout my time entirely too difficult for me to name just one, I try a name a few.

Fallout 2 PC. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Xbox 360. Conflict: Global Terror PS2.

GRAW 2 Xbox 360. Age Of Empires II PC. Mass Effect Xbox 360.

I play games because it's a great way to kill time. There're so many different things to do in games. Some games are good for challenge, some games challenge to think differently etc.

My favorite game for all time is Arcanum for PC. I know it had bugs and the combat could've been better, but the world was so original. Much better than in Fallouts. 19th century fantasy world during technological revolution. The main story was great. And I still think Arcanum is one of the only RPGs that let player join the bad guy in the end and destroy the world. Also diplomatic character could persuade the bad guy to see the evil of his ways and make him commit suicide. Something I couldn't do in Fallout no matter how diplomatic my character was.

My favourite games are Mortal Kombat (old versions) MGS Silent Hill part 1 and 2 an arcade classic Crude Buster and a couple of titles which i'd still like to play .. i play V.games becuz : we can do so many impossible things that we cannot do in the real life..but nowadays i don't think that i can get too much pleasure ... we need more innovations for games. i am hopeful for MK vs. DC. many rules seem to be changed so it helps us to explore something new. and we can get more pleasure when we play it guys we need something different ....splendor

Entertainment and Gears Of War probably.

I play games just purely for the entertainment that they give. I guess in away also it just takes your mind of everyday life situation as well and is a good way to wind down after a days work.

I would say my favourite game off all time would be either...

Rampage on the master system as this was the first game I got hooked on and really enjoyed and I even play it on my PS2 on Midway Arcard Treasures sometimes.

OR

Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophercy) because the games controls where just original for the games genre. Also I enjoyed the storyline in the game and overall I really got stuck into the game and didn't want to turn it off until I had completed it.

i guess they relive stress..

but my fave game is Goldeneye - for the n64

Hmm I have no single favorite game, just a few that I love very much,

Zelda OOT,Chrono Cross,Perfect Dark(Not the 360 one) and Goldeneye 007.
No game to date is as an amazing experience as those four were for me back when I first played them.

I have 2 fav video game series of all time : Super Smash Bros. ( i just love having all the nintnedo characters together in one game!) and Halo (I could play these games on-line for ****ing ever ! ).

i play games because they are fun, and exciting. They put you in a world or universe that is completely differant from ours, and if its a good game you actually feel like your that character.

I don't see why saying "they're fun" is not a good enough answer. That's why I play. If they weren't fun, I wouldn't play. I also like the temporary escape to another world. I don't mean that to sound like my life sucks either. I play video games for the same reason I read novels. I can be taken to another world/place/life that I would normally never get to experience.

Fav game huh. Probably the Prince of Persia series because of the great fantastical story and gameplay that goes with it. Or I might choose Full Spectrum Warrior because the squad tactics are so well implemented.

I play videogames because they are entertaining for me. I started playing videogames back when the Atari 2600 was out and the NES was nearing its' debut. My dad first taught me how to play Frogger on the Atari.

My favorite game of all time is probably Final Fantasy VII. It was the first game I played that had a huge storyline. Back in the NES days, storyline always took a backseat the gameplay. The NES games like Bad Dudes had a simple storyline: The President has been kidnapped by Ninjas! Are you a Bad enough dude to save the president? However, the gameplay was so much fun. I still don't know what the storyline was for Contra or Super C. All you did was hit the start button and started shooting everyone. The same thing was true for Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat. It was all about gameplay than storyline.

Also, in addition the FFVII's story, there were incredible and memorable characters, a fearsome bad guy, a fun combat system, and many side quests and secrets to find. It was the first game I played that really toyed with emotions. It was also the first RPG I ever played and it is one that I will always remember.

I play videogames because they're fun. nothing like shooting zombie's after a rough day at the office :D

I play videogames because of several reasons. Friends allow for Madden 09. Alone time is for the SNES RPGs of old. But overall I think I play for the same reasons that I drink beer: don't want to use the energy to do somehting productive.

Favorite Game Ever: Final Fantasy IX

I play games because I have all my life and it was always something I was good at.

My favorite game is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Trilogy (I consider it more one long beautiful story than 3 individual games) with Medievil for the PS1 and Zelda OoT for the N64 (mostly for the great memories with my friends) close behind.

games are fun, relaxing, great with friends, and a great way to escape normal life. i have 2 fav games of all time, Starcraft and Diablo 2, both offer great singleplayer and even better MP, hours of valuechaoscougar1

I'm good. I love KOTOR I just did that for fun. I got modded earlier though for making fun of someone who didn't know how to turn off their Xbox 360. =(
