I was speculating that the last 100 would be for halo 3 but that would mean that every copy ships with a beta invite which contradicts common knowledge. If there's downloadabe content that adds another island, they better not make me pay for it. IMO you shouldn't have to pay to get all the achievement points for a game. Also, this brings me to another point: Has anyone else noticed that achievement points on 360 games make the games better? I can imagine crackdown w/o achievement points, and IMO it would be a very mediocre experience. Even the legondary gears of war and oblivion have purpose given to them because of the achievement points.
yes, achievements are one of the greatest recent innovations in gaming. i think the last 100 points will jsut be added on later, and i think itll just be an update giving you new challenges, with no new content. but i really hope they do make a new area with downloadable content. i wouldnt mind paying for that.
Sometimes developers do a math mistake (Condemend). Don't worry. Now with new marketplace policy there will be a marketplace content allowing you to unlock 1250 gaming points on a single retail game.

yeah i wouldn't mind paying for it either, it's just the concept of not being able to get all the achievement points without paying extra money that would bother me.
Microsoft said that if a game doesn't come with 1000 achievement points right out of the box, any points needed to finish the 1000 must be free. Then, if there is anything past 1000, it will probably cost MS points.
