I mean, sure they have tons of great and original games and they care for their consumers needs, but I think they are a little over-rated. Sure, they never re-hash old games with little to no added features to differentiate it from it's predecessor, but there are other really great game developers too...like Stellar Stone. We need to give these other developers some love too, you know.
theyre not one of my favorite developers. there are a lot i like a whole lot more. and to be quite frank, the only EA game i think i own is the orange box and they only published it.
like its been said before, most people are more angered and annoyed by EA, so if you think everyone likes them you need to get some better smarter friends.....
I hate EA as well, for the most part. Their games are pretty much the same year after year and they are more concerned with making money over making quality games. I was upset when they bought BioWare, my favorite developer. I hope they just leave them alone to make great games.

I'm surprised that EA isn't under the microscope of whatever part of our government investigates anti-competitive/anti-trust business practices, because their business moves as of late are getting ridiculous. First they don't ever resolve any of the bugs in battlefield 2, but instead release 2142, which now features built-in adware, and of course you're still paying $60 for the game (rather than $10 or $20). Further back, was how they couldn't compete on an even ground with 2k sports and thus bought out the NFL exclusivity (for god knows how many years now... at this point, does it matter?). And then even further back to the whole EA spouse scandal and how they mistreat and run their dev houses like sweatshop labor. Now more recently, EA has been found guilty of editing their wikipedia pages to try and "cleanse" the entries about the scandal and alter the importance of the different CEOs in their history... and now they buy out Bioware *and* Pandemic?!? It certainly appears clear to me that they are trying to monopolize their presence in the gaming industry.
I don't dislike EA, but they're not one of my favorite developers. They're lucky the new Madden game is good or they might have lost my bussiness forever.
I wouldn't rate EA highly, they make yearly sporting games with, more often than not, very little additions or enhancements, and buy out other game developers, only to ruin them. Pretty crappy in terms of customer support too imo.
Why does everyone love EA, first of all, I dont think everyone loves EA. And the reason why abunch of people, including myself, love EA is because they make a crap load of great games. I mean sure they might go in a sleezy way of doing some things and what not, but does that effect the games? No. Its like Wal-Mart, there is alot of people who hateit and lots who love it, why do people hat wal mart, it takes away a bunch of jobs from America by having foreign factories, why do people love wal mart, they have some of the lowest prices you will find anywhere. In the end, the foreign factories and stuff, does not effect the final products at the store, so I really could care less, goto college and you wont have to find a job in America that wal-mart is taking away. Bottom line, EA puts out great games. sry for any typos and spelling errors.
i only like madden really.. sadly orange box is published by them but its a great game. and i kinda wanna check out army of two.. but thats a big maybe
EA itself don't develop their games, they produce them, sure the develop some, just see them like microsoft, and btw, who the hell love's EA? I can't think of anyone who said they do.
I do enjoy lots of their games, but that's INSPITE of them coming from EA

I agree Madden and Fifaare really there largest profit earner. Onnext gen systems I can't speak for Fifa but Madden is horrible. I played it on PS3 saturday and I felt sick will all the amazing glitches in the game, on 360 it is just a repeat of last year. With out 2K to offer competition, Football fans are screwed. besides that most of there games for the last 3 years have been sub-par to average. When 2k7 come out there stock dropped horribly. So yes blame it on dumb American that will tollerate poor standards of games due to their over zealous belief that Madden is the be sports game ever. (I'm american I should know I purchased one of the freaken games because I like football.)

i think EA makes some great games, some of my favourites are made by them, however, even tho they are the name behind my favourite games, i dont think they are the best.
I give my love to any developer that can make a game that holds my intrest for more then a week,even tho i am 25, i have the attention span of a 3 year old when it comes to games.
i am not a big fan of ea either, but they are really not that bad, been playing madden football since 95. some of the games they put out a garbage, i just hope they dont screw up bioware and pandemic
Most hardcore gamers hate EA.I'm a hardcore gamer and I wouldn't say that I HATE EA but I certaintly don't consider them one of my favorite publishers.

NCAA Football, MADDEN, Need for speed series, BF2 Modern Combat , Army of 2, the orange box, Fight Night 3, even Def Jam Icon is ok, NBA Street Homecourt, But thats just me so and by the way im no FAN BOY
Electronic Arts--where good games go to die :P Now when Mass Effect 2 & 3 don't live up to the promise of the original game, all we'll have is what might have been.
