Why does everyone love Gears of War 2 so much?

Am I the only person that still has to wait about a century to find a game?

Granted, the singleplayer was an amazing experience, but it doesnt make up for the badly broken multiplayer.

It would definately be in my top 10 list of singleplayer games, but isnt it essential to have decent/working multiplayer in games now, for stuff like replayability?

By the way, I dont live in America, which I think impacts big time on finding a game, but I dont know for sure.

Eh... The MP in the first game sucked anyway. I think both games gained fame because of their single player.

And just because it takes a long time for you to find a match doesn't mean it's broken... Just wait like everyone else.

i cant stand MP anymore, its so broken

maybe i'll come back once they fix it and i really hope they do

I like the campaign and Horde ONLY!

Public matches take too long and when you get into a match its a lag fest. (its not my connection BTW)

TC, I don't think ANYONE loves Quears 2... period! I mean, fanboys of the first game would absolutely loath what they've done to the game (both gameplayand infrastructure-wise). Those new to the franchise wouldn't bother with it's on-line component due to the interminable lobby limbo. And even those who wanted the shottynerf'd from the first game would still be far from content at elements like the broken chainsaw, horrid lag and utterly inane matchmaking system.

Only an Epic Gamesyes-man who's in fear of losing his/her job could possibly profess to even remotely liking this game. (...and even then they'd surely be lying!)

The games and 'epic' failure on so many levels it's deserved of an accolade for it!

Great graphics, amazing gameplay, and kickass weapons make for a good time. Plus the co-op is fantastic... when a new friend buys the system and says "What game do I get to play with you?" you tell 'em, "GEARS!!!" It's a great, violent game.

I LOVE the game and think it should get GoTY for sure Sure I have to wait sometimes to get into a match but it's always well worth it and it only happens every now and then. Gears FTW!nickdastick

Because it's a pretty good game. Sure some games of multiplayer online are laggy and it takes awhile to find a match sometimes, but the story is pretty good, the game play is truly awesome and the action never really lets up Again, this is a very love/hate series, which may be part of the problemchoffy

While the story is more fleshed out than the first, that isn't really saying much. While I found the single player campaign to be fun, the multiplayer is broken. However, horde can be fun with a friend.

I'm glad I rented it though because I didn't want to fall into the same trap as I did with the first.
