Why does my 360 need to update all the time.

I've had my 360 since launch. But all of a sudden, almost every game I put in needs to be updated again and again. I know theres a way to fix this, I'm just not sure how. Thanks in advance.

does it seem sometimes the same game gets updated more than once in a day when u play a lot of games coz im not 100% sure and cant backup this with solid facts but im sure the xbox has a 2nd memory set inside apart from the hard disc that it stores all the game updates on. and it only stores a couple on. so when u play a like a half dozen or so games in the end it wipes a previous update that was download and when u put the game back in it has to reupdate it again i aint got no links or anything to back it up but im sure i read it somewhere and does seem to act like that as ive had games that updated more than once in a day when ive played loads of different games in a short spell of time. what games are the worst like? rainbow six vegas 1used to seem like it was updated everytime i played id put it in and see updated needed and be like that was a suprise and give a little laff they dont bother me unless its a update that decides to turn my music off thats playing on the xbox grrrr lmao gituar hero 3 ive clocked updating a few times in a day also on big game sesh changing games. cud be the devs are update heads or i think the xbox only holds so many updates for the games

you might need to clear your cache. it might be filling up and every time you try to play that game it can't save it to that area. its a huntch but its a though. i clear my cache every month bc i play a lot of rented games and i dont want them on my console.
