So today when I woke up, the first thing i noticed was that the 360 was turned on. Now I am absolutely sure I didnt leave it on, because I KNOW i turned it off, and because I would have seen the light in the dark, and because that thing is loud and I would have heard it. So I thought, "Ok, maybe its a sign that I should play" So I did. Then earlier tonight, I went to McDonalds to buy some food. When I walk in my room, the 360 is on again. I KNOW i turned it off so dont say i forgot. I just got the system like a week ago. Its the arcade version. Can anyone tell me why its doing this? I dont want it to turn on all night and possibly damdage the system!
Mine only did this once, but it was because my remote was lying face down in a basket of remotes that I have and the guide button must have got hit and it turned it on. Other than that...its possessed.
Your 360 turns itself on coz its so damn sexy.......no im kidding there is an auto start option somewhere in the dashobard.....i think console settings
I have never had BK... But I know Macdonalds is horrible both in taste and in health...

To answer your question though either you accidentally set it to auto turn on (it might exist idk I know there is an auto turn off in settings) or your room is haunted by a playful spirit that likes videogames.
you guys are wrong, he has a keyboard pluged in and the slightest touch of the boaard will turn it on, even a small movement of the scrool bar thing turns mine on... if you have one unplug it.
well, if it was me, i think it would be because my 360 saw my face and turned on. but as for you, i'm not sure. i believe there's an auto start switch in the dashboard settings.
OK, it wasnt on when I woke up today so I dont think its that auto on feature. The only thing I did different was that instead of putting the controler on top of the console, i put it somewhere else. I think putting the controller on top of the console might be causing the problem.
Once a friend of mine played some Vegas with me and used his controller. He lives next door and was able to turn on my xbox with the controller since it was still connected to my xbox. What a lil bastud.
Your 360 wants your attention... Microsoft gave feelings to the 360s... some commit suicide... others just fall in love with their users... while others are just good friends, like mine:P
Oh? Mcdonalds you say, what did you get? Maybe your 360 is possessed and wants you to play it or it'll scare you by turning itself on. You have to be the one to turn it on with your charm, just don't forget the Mcdonalds. Maybe next time you can go and get grub at Arbys. Call me up if you do.
Yeah...this just happened to me...turned itself on and started to eject the DVD... Couldn't shut it off from the button, had to unplug the power. Damn scary. Note that my game pad was on the console...
