I believe the reason is that they changed the size of the avatars so all of the avatar items have to be updated. When you go to customize your avatar it should prompt you to update you items. After that it should show up. Until then though you wont see you items when your offline.
the damn console wont auto play anymore. despite DVDs in the tray and the setting changed to autoplay, it boots to the dashboard so i have to click on the game manually.
I'm more concerned about the all white layout. My tv is gonna be pulverized with burn in.hillelslovakWill that happen?? [QUOTE="Emurozii"]

I love the new dashboard, and when I'm offline I don't have that problem.
The new dashboard is awful :L
It's okay. All the new features are cool, but like GameSpot should have a black and white option or something. Or even just the colours for the old one :).[QUOTE="hillelslovak"]I'm more concerned about the all white layout. My tv is gonna be pulverized with burn in.Ashley_wweWill that happen??
Indeed lightly colored images are more noticeable when they burn in but depending on the amount of time they can fade away. A buddy and I were hanging out at his place and put in a south park DVD and we got a call from a friend who need our help right that instant, we thought we had turned off the TV but sadly when we got back to it about an hour later we had found that the DVD menu was cycling over and over for at least 20min leaving a large ovular shape in the center of the screen. it was the south park logo. luckily it faded after a day or so of other images cycling. Best way to avoid it is to turn off the TV when you have to go away from the dashboard for any amount of time.

Wow, that's unfortunate... thanks for the tip. It probably also doesn't help me that my TV isn't HD, so I get some lines and that sometimes, more noticable on odd games. For example, on Rainbow Six: Vegas on the loading screen in particular, you will see that the running guy in the corner will have a silouette thing behind his animation, and that can't be good for such a white background. There really should be an option to change it how you want though. Like a colour chart to play with all of the bars and text and that :).Please Log In to post.
