Why dump on MS for their Project Natal... it is the future of gaming to not use controllers... sure it is going to take a while to get things perfect, but man why not be happy for companies making progress. Wii started it PS3 dabbled in it, MS is now attempting to make a big jump too. Sure it very well could suck especially at first, but I personally hope companies keep trying it and pushing technology. Milo looked cool and I am excited to see where this technology goes. Good for gaming.

Agree. If Natal can live up to what it promises, then it'd be motion sensing on a whole new scale

I don't even think that it is a game, it was more of a tech demo to show what kind of capabilities Project Natal has.

Actually Milo could be fun as a game... it would be like a more persoanl version of The Sims.

Gamers are slow to change, but I was impressed far more by Natal than anything Nintendo has done. If this thing is done right it will be amazing. I dont see not using a controller, but they could create whole new games for this camera. If it works people will like it and shut up.

It looks good, but using this technology will get you tired way more fast, you won't be able to play it for more than an hour, but other than that it looks promissing enough, let's just see where it goes, and what will be the support from other companies

the reason this is awesome and better then the wii is that it is an additional piece to the system. it is not what the system is built around. it is optional

you can go play a game with a regular controller right afterward

but if you want to try something truly new and crazy then you can

Its ultimatly a next-gen eye toy. and lol to awakenedjay, seriously its ppl like you who aggravate situations. I mean, all i said was that it wasnt my idea of fun, even thoygh it looked cool. Which was followed up perfectly by saying that it wasnt really agame as much as it was a tech demo to show off features. Its still a good step towards the future of gaming...im just not so sure about how BIG a step Microsoft wants to make it out to be.

It looked cool for the stuff it did outside of games.
I liked the voice recognition. That was awesome.

But, with the crap like the driving with your arms.
Meh. Not interested.

True, but I'm kinda "on the fence" about this, because I don't have so much space in my room to jump around. When Gamespot editors will test it and write about it, then I guess I'll make my decision about it :)

The tech does look pretty amazing, but I would love to have seen some examples of it in a game, rather than in some random applications. I cant say I care much for interacting with an AI boy on a personal level, or for painting really, really, REALLY badly with my hands, what I would have liked to have seen was some actual gaming use!

how many ppl said the wii and its motion controll said it was a gimmick and was gonna fail and look how far it has gone. I think this has potential but my real concern is not if it will replace the controller but if it works as good as they say how much is it gonna cost.

Gotta agree. If they can pull it off, it's going to be sweet. Right now though it's just an add on anyway and it's geared to get everyone involved. It's a great idea that hopefully pans out well.

By the way, I missed part of the presentation, did at any point they show any 3D movement? I saw the painting and the ball kicking, and the little kid, but that was all done on a 2D plane, was there anything in 3D. Otherwise its not really as advnaced as I thought it would be...

Biggest Prob I have is that the trailer is surely faked: Trailer

Just to call one thing they had to fake: Look at the scanning from the board: It was clearly after scanning even though he had his hands on the downside.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the first few hours with eyetoy on PS2 and I liked playing Eye of Judgement on PS3. I even enjoyed the Wii for a short time. But somehow all those Games get boring after a short while. They need a good bunch of good Games or this whole project will land where the Eye Toy landed: in a forgotten past of gaming history

They even said that games have to force you to move. If a company wants to make a game where you sit on the couch then they can. I really hope they get some good stuff on it. And that Milo was just showing how you can connect to in game characters if developers wanted to try it. Could you imagine what Bioware would do with this if they were to let Mass Effect use it. Just imagine the story telling and how you react with characters then...

If it can deliver the quality and speed demonstrated tonight then it will be a great product, but if you've used the Live Vision camera you will know the problems with getting decent picture quality, or even getting it to work without voiding out large parts of you in games like youre in the movies.
