i love halo. and i understand, many do. but there are some who dont, or prefer other FPS. now i know there are games with better or just as good storylines/online, and i know there are games with better controls/abilities. but theres something about halo that i cant quite understand how to explain. its simplistic and complicated at the same time. something about the online play, the feel..i dunno.. i cant put my finger on it. maybe you can help? why do YOU enjoy the halo games?
ya i really enjoy the halo games lol its a game where u cant slack off online without doing crap unlike alot of other shooters lol you gotta keep thinking and thats what i think draws most ppl into it because unless you suck at the game ur not gonna be doing the same thing over and over again
I love the story, online play, Co-op, and theres nothing better than having your buddies come over and eat some pizza, drink some soda, and play some Halo all night(except March Madness baby!).
Halo is the kind of game where u have buddies over and just lan party or play legendary wit a friend....its not a game for urself..its a game everybody knows and plays..
Honestly, Halo games took the FPS shooter genre almost in the realm of RPG's with amazing musical scores, superb graphics, solid storytelling, and fun online. I love it for those reasons alone and am quite sad I won;t be able to play the third anytime soon. If you really enjoyed Halo 1's gameplay and storytelling I'd recommend Resistance: FoM just in case your interested. It's very creative much the same way Halo one was...and it a good FPS for anybody out there.
i had ps3 for like a month before i sold it and i found that game to be extremely boring. i had that and the basketball game lol. i didnt find it compared to halo at all

That's really too bad, it's very much the revolution Halo 1 was. Sadly, I remember people saying Halo 1 was a cheap ripoff of Red Faction and very slow paced and boring....some people just never give great things a fighting chance.Â
lol i played it for a month and i played it alot. i just didnt like the system thats why i sold it. if it came out for 360 i might own the game it wasnt that bad i just found it a lil boring compared to halo and i really didnt like the system

i knew it! lol but seriously i know its awesome with your buddies but i can play alone for hours... i just cant explain why i love it so much. this isnt just a thread praising the game because there are plenty, its a thread of explaining the addiction and why no other game has this effect on me. something about the mechanics of gameplay i cant explain.

It doesn't have the best story. It doesn't have the best controls. It doesn't have the best gameplay. It doesn't have the best SP campaign It doesn't have the best MP system It doesn't have the best graphics. It doesn't have the best physics.
But few shooters have balanced all of the previous characteristics as well as the Halo series has. It's not a matter of being the best in something, it's a matter of excelling in everything.

sooo true!! well i think is the balance of the weapons and the sounds comin out the weapons made it sooo perfect!! thats why halo is the best game u could ever get

thats right i sold it and made a a lil bit extra money from it. like i said i really didnt like the system and i thats why i sold it lol noway it was worth that much
