Yeah can someone pls tell me a game that has a better campaign than the halo series? ppl say halos graphics suck, Newsflash halo isn't a game that needs good graphics, we're fighting aliens, aliens don't need graphics, yeah sure a game like forza 2 or COD+ needs good graphics but this game dudnt need graphics, halo has the best kick *** cut scenes, can anyone in the line pls give me a game that had better cut scenes than halo? I remember when I first seen the scene in halo 2 of the master chief grabbing onto the bomb and flying with it to the covenants ship, that was a *** sweet scene, I was still doing back flips the next day from that scene. Next thing is vehicles. pls!!! tell me a game that had better vehicles than halo. The vehicles have to be the best vehicles ever created in a shooting game, they aren't all huge and fancy spaceship looking like gears of war and mass effect those vehicles are jokes, halos vehicles are strictly army vehicles, the alien vehicles are pretty nice for alien mobiles, the ghost? genius work genius work, the banshee? genius work, genius work. Mongoose, props to whoever thought of bringing that in Halo 3. The Mongoose is so damn nice, I love zooming past enemies on it and it's so fun to drive man o man.
Balanced weapons man balanced weapons, man you can throw any game in the garbage that has unbalanced weapons like gears of war. Halo made the weapons equal, you start off with a pistol and an assault rifle thats it. Rocket launcher nice, nice, vehicle seeking missiles, the plasma grenade, genius absolute genius, throw a plasma grenade on someone, melts their face right before they blow up. Nail grenade, very nice, so, they have the frag grenade, which bounces around corners, they have the plasma grenade, which sticks onto an enemy, and they have the spike grenade, that launches on anything, vehicle, ground, or wall. Bungie comes up with the best damn weapons you will ever see a video creator make, seriously get a load of the Spartan Laser. Seriously people who could come up with that baby? You can beat snipers so easily with it and it takes out the whole vehicle in one hit it even makes sure the gunner is dead which the rocket launcher does not do. Don't get me started on the Assault Rifle. That Rifle has to be the best designed weapon I have ever seen. It doesn't have all this photo shop garbage thrown onto it. It's just a simple rifle with limited ammo so you have to make sure every hit counts.
The game types in Halo were genius! Capture the flag, major props to the creators of capture the flag on halo. Capture the flag is very organized on Halo, and I mean very organized. It's easy to know where you have to grab it and where you need to go. Other games *** up their capture the flags. Assault is another great game, it's very fun, and very fun defending. Custom games holy ***! Whoever came up with this idea you are the greatest!!!!! A lot of other games attempted to copy this not mentioning any names, GRAW. Ghost Recon tried to make a custom games and it failed completely because GRAW is not organized like Halo. Custom games had endless possibilities, you could make cat n mouse, 4 team capture the flag, protect president clinton, or even the sims. Congratulations fantastic idea custom games will always live in Halo.
The characters. Awesome characters nice textures none of the characters look stupid. Halo made the huge Brutes and Gears of War had to copy the brutes because they are very similar to the locusts. The enemies in gears of war use human type weapons, newsflash EPIC, when you have things like retches, kryll, corpsers, and berserkers, how can you throw in human type enemies, they wear pants and capes, where the *** would they find those? Halo has the aliens and thats it, they come with their own created armor, and suits. They have their own vehicles, Halo made the infested marines, that is genius work, and cortana who is inside his head, thats excellent immagination man, without cortana it would be the masterchief byhimself, talking to no one, halo gots skill, halo gots da pizaz.
Next is the match making garbage, ok this has got to be the best way of bringing xbox live players together, ok games like battlefield, gears of war, forza, stuff like that, you mineaswell make no online achievements or just make all the achievements called " Boost 100 kills ", halo 2 has great a great party system, you can go with clan, friends, family and all the rest. Yeah like wtf shut the *** up man. Yeah sure there were modders in halo 2 but this is the xbox 360 all of that is bye bye, adios, sienara, sienjeema, gods speed spiderman. This is the xbox 360 new technology, yes there may be bridging but games like saints row and call of duty 3 have them too so dont single halo out.
The master chief has nice textures to his suit, in this chapter we are going to talk about realism, so after being in the battle of halo 1 and 2, the bungie team has decided to make the masterchiefs armor damaged, scratched, latched, detatched, rematched, reclatched, to add realism to the game. Others like gears of war, after being through the whole story, none of them have a bullet in their chest, after thousands of bullets zoomed past their heads. The masterchief and other spartans have armor, thats specialized genetic armor that has been designed onto the suit to make sure nothing can go through the masterchief unless his shields are down, its called responsibility folks, responsibility.
Bungie has their hands full,Halo 3 beta Movie, PC Version, Halo 3, halo wars, and the movie game type halo. That's 6 things they have been working on in the past months, yes maybe the bungie team hasnt been working on it directly but from different parts of the company they have/are working on those things. Yes, now another thing bungie has added on is the sound from the microphone, that is an excellent piece of art work, excellent piece. They didnt go over top notch by adding in a lot of sounds, 1 little sound that makes the game more unique is all it needs, that 1 little sound. Ok now, communicating to the enemies, now that's 1 thing you always need THATS 1 THING YOU ALWAYS NEED. TO BE ABLE TO COMMUNIACTE WITH THE ENEMY, in halo 2 that's always the best, in coagulation rushing to the other side of the map, going into the enemy base, hiding behind the teleporter, then you start trashtalking, or start making friends with the enemy.
Mmm....Lets see...Ok in the halo campaign they never put a thing in like " GAME OVER " or " YOU HAVE DIED " they just restart it, THEY DONT HAVE something like " Objective, reach the blah blah in 30 seconds " no garbage like that, well in halo 1 the last level they had a timer, except I had too much l337 skills too lose, so I never found out what would happen if the timer ran out, if there would be a huge explosion or what? Ok, so the sniper rifle in this game makes it easy to use for everyone, and every new comer, ppl dont move fast enough like in gears of war to make it impossible to hit them, so GJ on the balanced sniper. yup
Also, the bungie team has the smarts, like in halo 1, these were the things that were missing that I & probably others noticed 1. No banshees 2. No high jacking other ppls vehicles 3. Vehicles dont blow up 4. You can't ride in an enemy vehicle 5. No dual wielding 6. More Yeah bungie practically fixes EVERYTHING that needs to be fixed, in halo 2, almost everything is perfect, 1 thing thats not is, no fuel cannon rod, and no banshee bombs, well in halo 3 there are banshee bombs, and I dont know if we will need the fuel rod cannon or not with all the new weapons we are getting.
Yeah so, bungie is great we have a lot of things to look forward to, movie, movie-type game, halo 3, and halo wars. Pls type anything you want. Halo 3 > Than other games

for one thing, before i get flamed, I honestly thought the Halo single player was very generic. Aliens come, super hero saves the day. Also, Halo reminded me A LOT of Unreal Tournament. The banshee and Ghost were in the UT games, as well as the Warthog.
I didn't even finish reading because all you said was genius and nice. They essentially took good parts of all other games and made their own.
One last thing I noticed. You stated there is no GAME OVER or YOU HAVE DIED in single player. So where is the difficulty level. If you never die, you might as well stroll down the street picking Daisies. I'd rather play a game where when you die, you get frustrated and motivate yourself to do better, not shrug and keep going.
You just seem to love Halo to much. Do yourself a favor, go play some other games and see how Generic Halo really is...
ok well for one i'm not reading that, and 2 i will say that i am a huge halo fan, and i love the series and almost everything about it but i still realize that it's not the best thing ever created; it's a realy good and all out quality title and franchise but not perfect or the best. thats what makes me a whore and not a fanboy, caus i'm not blind and i don't make outragouse claims like "halo is the best things since sliced bread".
Well. Halo is a good game. But some people say other wise. But its all based on opinions. I like Halo. I love it even. But I would not say it has the best story. A good one but nothing to great. And I actually thought Halo had good graphics. People say that the betas graphics sucked but I thought they were good.

All your really doing is stating your opinion really, just like he is stating his, I actually enjoyed the single player more then the online part of the game, but Half life 2 has a better single player game, H3 is getting knocked because none of the changes are huge in gamers eyes of now.
Ok... ive been playing games since 1986 and I really loved Halo 1, but Halo 2 was just better graphics and noobed up. So I wasnt very impressed with that, and judging from Halo 3... its not going to be much better... it is going to be better, But not outstanding. Games to look out this year that are going to revolutionize the way we play is Mass Effect, Assasins Creed and just maybe Halo 3 but as of now, from their crappy trailer and presentation... theyre not impressing me.
