the Bullet isnt THAT BAD for everybody, that guy was over doing it, but its still a problem. i just really hope EPIC puts client side hit detection in gears2, because that is the ONLY PROBLEM IN THE GREAT GAME THAT IS GEARS.im not bashing gears Its one of my favourite games ever, but HALO MP > gears MP (at least until epic does something)

When you kill someone on Halo, they just swear up a storm about how you cheated and how you suck and that they'll kill you. Very annoying and very immature.northalta

I meet a lot of people in both games that complain. Halo 2 people just call u a n00b and in Gears they call me a chain saw whore and a F(r)ag Tagger. I hate when people say the chain saw is cheap but its a weapon that is supposed to be used in the game so why cant i use iit.

umm yeah, NO MATTER HOW FAST YOUR CONNECTION is youll notice bullet lag, maybe less, but its enough to make the difference once your against that bastard host advantage

its where in halo 2 where you don't have to be aiming at the guy to hit him. it's useful but they overdid it on halo 2. there is a video on youtube about it somewhere.

There is major lag in halo also. People can also manipulate the connection and cheat. But in the end, gears of war is much more laggy giving the advantage to the host. I suppose a better internet connect can help but in gears it doesn't matter that much.Bansheezs

Anyways, I think Halo1 and 2 are better than Gears because they have great core gameplay and maps that don't seem like they were thought up of in a matter of minutes... they also aren't nearly as enclosed as Gears. 3 will soon also be better than Gears.

THATS AUTOAIM!!!! NOT HIT DETECTION OR LAG!!! and bungie did that cause before they put it in, MOST OF THE PEOPLE SUCKED BAD IN HALO2 ONLINE!!!!! so they had to lower the skill difference. but the auto aim IS MUCH LOWER IN HALO3, thats why in the beta, NUUBBERTS got owned by experiecned players and went to forums to complain about the game, while in truth they just sucked at it.

thats the risk devs have to take by balancing the auto-aim so new players can jump in with out getting destroyed, racing games have another thing like this called "rubber-banding", burnout and motorstorm ARE NOTORIOUS FOR IT, while forza2 doesnt have it, thats why noobs love burnout and hate forza

Gears uses Server side hit detection, where, Once you shoot that information has to travel to the hosts' 360 then come back to register, Thats why you have the Lag (correct me if im wrong) and i explained what client side hit detection is in my earlier post.

bullet lag isnt gonna disappear off gears of war.....if ur in a sever thats kind of bad u could tell how some of ur shots never come out or get lost.....unless they come up with dedicated servers or client side hit detection ur gonna have to dela with it.....plus i think epic pretty much abandoned gears for the 360 since they released it for pc and they already got a great profit from the 360 sales...so nothing is gonna changeDante2710

If that solution doesn't work for you then I'd suggest just not playing the game entirely(at least online). Lord knows there's enough crybabies playing Gears that I'm tired of listening too. If you don't like it, go play something else. There's Rainbow 6 Vegas, GRAW, and even you Halo players have Halo 2 to tide you over until Halo 3 comes out. I'll be happy when all the Gears haters quit playing this "stupid" game and leave us "idiots" to ourselves. :roll:
