Why I hate XBL.

I hate XBL because for $50 a year I should not have any trouble playing online with any game unless its my internet connection problem, but right now CoD4 is jacked, and its been messed up the last couple of days, very laggy and long waiting. And guess what, live is either down or jack up more than 99.9% of the time, $50 a year for live is a rip off, I play many other games on my PC or even the PS3, and they do not experience as many problems as XBL and guess what, I am not paying $50 a year. Microsoft should probably think about getting their **** together because im tired of feeling like im being ripped off, oh wait I guess I am getting ripped off, Who stupid Idea was it to make people pay $50 a year for online play, and 1 week early content just because they feel they need to try and make people feel like its worth there $50.

This is not true.. ive had xbox live for over 4 years and this is the first time in close to 5 years that ive had ANY problems with xbox live.

1 problem in 5 years is VERY good IMO.

Sure the last few weeks have had alot of problems, but its not like this happens often.

Xbox live is 100000000 times better then sonys online and thats a fact.

Well, XBL does have a ridiculous amount of content compared to PSN (I have both systems, not a "fanboy", also, I dislike the term fanboy),

anyways, I'm having the first problems I've ever had with XBL this week, and I'm assuming it's the post xmas blitz or something, less people working + tons of new sign up will cause trouble on any network, even those $14.95 a month types, like Tabula Rasa has been really odd this week...

realistically, XBL is way more stable than say...World Of Warcraft, and it costs less *shrugs*, and I realize I'm making an odd comparison here, as XBL hosts way more content, but, it's essentially the same thing, a series of networks connected into one that users can access.

and since 50 dollars a year is such a hassle on somebody who can apparently afford an internet connection. what a rough life you must live, how do you find the money to pay the bills?

You're overexaggurating. Xbox live is not down 99.9% of the time. I've had it for about 3 years now and maybe have had a problem when xbox live had not said it was going down for maintanence maybe... a couple of times? Lots of people using xbox live now, it's getting bigger and more people are becoming members. Things like this are bound to happen. Chill out and play a game offline, don't worry you'll get your 50 dollars worth.

Ive had a ps2 and ps3 online and they are HORRIBLE online, so if you really want to play online games then stick with xbox live.

WTF are you complaining about!!!! There was a time where you had to invite friends over just to play multiplayer and now you can play with millions, also you can DL trailers, demos, and arcade games which makes XBL great. So just be thankful there is such a thing as online for game consoles.sk8jim

yes but you pay for what you have spent, and i dont know what is the problem with all of these fanboys putting down psn i mean while i had my ps2 online was just as reliable as xbl. For example playing BF2mc we had servers just as good as on original xbox. Not sure about ps3 online capabilities but i still plan on buying it and i doubt is as bad as you guys describe it. I know it wont be as good as xbl but it will still be good.

I turned the live downloads/update feature off so that it doesn't take up so much memory. It is an option to only CHOOSE which items you want downloaded onto your console. Another reason I choose to not have things automatically downloaded is the fact that you never know what may or may not have errors or glitches in it. Take the Naruto: Rise of a Ninja game for example, Ubisoft opted to have a free character download for Shikamaru and it ended up causing game freeze so everyone had to uninstall it. HatakeKakashi08

Dude, you're a tool. Get over yourself, Xbox Live has ONE big server problem in like 4 years and trolls like you start complaining and saying it's the worst service ever. Steam is better? Steam is totally different, it's a method of buying games and browsing servers.. Steam doesn't HOST all those servers. They host the files you download but not the game servers, so it's not even close to the same thing. Besides.. you've already shown your a big enough idiot that none of what you say makes any difference anyway.

But does any of us get electricity for free? NO, many other services are free, you still have to pay for internet connection but services such as steam and PSN are free, and IMO steam is better than XBL and they are actually advancing each and every year unlike XBL.

dude, you're an idiot. why do you think microsoft provide us with xbox live? do you think its for fun? out of the goodness of their hearts? microsoft is a business, you realise that right? not a charity. things like xbox live, that need enormous servers, and a huge workforce to keep it running cost a lot of money to run. And just because it's been a bit iffy for a couple of days doesn't mean it sucks.

He could have technically just got Live for Christmas on and since all the problems have grow since then be correct.

I second Live is a straight rip off. PC gets the same thing for free. PSN is very good. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it. You fanfreaks are on Microsofts sack so much it is silly. 99.9% of the time may be an exaggeration but Live should work 100% of the time since similar services are free.

People work. When they have there own personal time they should have no problems using the service they are paying for. Imagine if your internet went out, your cable TV, your cell phone stopped working, your electricity went out exc exc. His complaints are more then acceptable.

One week of problems out of 4.5 years of it running PERFEC.. thats pretty damn good.

And i use to play Socom on my ps2 online and that was the worst experience ive ever had, worse lag ive ever had in a game.

PC gaming online or xbox gaming online is the way to go.. not psn.

ive played PSN online many times, and its horrible, complete garbage.

servers are a very complicated business, and judging by the amount of content and amount of people on xbox live Im surprised that they havent had a problem before. this will likely be fixed in a couple of days and there will be no more problems.hellrazor707

This is the first WEEK out of 100+ weeks that its messed up for me.

XBOX LIVE IS NOT LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME. This is the first time in my 4+ years with xbox live that its had problems.

I personally think its quite amazing that this is the first time there have been any problems in 4+ years.

Well then stop using xbox live, all you do is complain.. and if you really had xbox live for 3 years then you would relize there have never been big problems with the service like there is at the moment.

If you dont like it then leave, dont pay for it and never come back on xbox live again, go enjoy your ps3 online with no games.
