Mine broke earlier and if it was any other game than I wouldve been mad but its Halo 3 so I dont care. Im still ordering a replacement, but I could care less when it gets here.

That's great to know!... Not really...
People are hating on the game because of it's success. Everyone's jumping on the CoD4 bandwagon. I'll stick to Halo 3 though.

i enjoy COD4 but i didnt like HALO 3 as far as the campaign but i have enjoyed the MP since i started playing it, its crazy and just feel so smooth online. Plus just think about this TC, 5.2 million people liked it enough to want it in the first few weeks
alright. im just going to copy and paste this from a different topic....
i dislike it for a few reasons actually... first i think it lacks originality. yes the first one was good, but to keep a series going stong you should really inovate and make it worth a second purchase. i dont think anyone wants the same game with a new name. halo 2 improved on halo 1 with it's online. halo 2 was one of the best online shooters, but it does get old after the years. so heres where halo 3 should pick up the slack, but to me halo 3 really didn't add much in relation to halo 2. sure there are new maps and some new game types and certain little perks, but essentially it is the same game as halo 2. i know you are thinking, "hey. it's halo still. it has to be like halo 2" but seriously, it doesn't have to be a carbon copy. why would you want to pay $60 just to play the same multiplayer you've been playing for 3 years already?
Secondly, i am very disapointed with the single player. it is extremely short. it ranges from about 4-8 hours depending on the player and difficulty setting. though it does have a nice co-op mode that does make it pretty fun. fun, but shorter yet.
Thirdly, it has way too much hype for what it is. people praise it without a good reason to. look at the scores. no way a game that has an extremely short single player and a refurbished multiplayer should ever score a 9.5. that's next to perfection and in no way is this a near perfect game. and because of this hype it draws in the young crowd that think, because their friends say so, that this is the greatest game in the world. that's why the online community is greatly made up of prepubescent whiney brats.

To me halo 3 seems more than just a common shooter like cod4. I don't see anything that seperates the gameplay of cod4 than any other ordinary shooter. You can't even jump in cod4. LAME. Halo has improved upon shooters with dual weapons halo 2 and swords and a variety of weapons and game types.Bansheezs

Halo 3 doesnt, all it has is armor upgrades and they dont help you at all. You can jump in CoD4, I dont even think you played it.
I only played Halo 3 for the first 2 days after launch and havent played it since just got boring very fast for me while COD4 im totally addicted to i cant stop playing it i have bought Assassins Creed and Mass Effect since picking up COD4 and i have hardly played either because i just want to play COD4.
COD4 is by far the most fun game i have played on the 360.

So youre saying a game where you have to prevent terrorists from getting nukes is more original. No way in hell. Ive herad that one before. Cod4 single pleyer is also very short and very repetitive. I beat the game and never wanted to play it again. While halo had lost of awesome skulls and things to play and discover. It got alot of hype because it was the concluding game in the halo trilogy and people wanted to see the story end.

so does halo 3? please make VALID points!
he made a valid point your just too busy being an idiotic fanboy...call of duty 4 has better ranks...and to earn them you need skill...unlike halo3 which you can be carried by your team and get 1 xp ...whoopie doo...call of duty 4 rewards you for skill and progression in skill with new weapons and upgrades to make weapons better...what does halo 3 do? your rank just proves you got no life and lots of time on your hand to have 500+ xp...
People are dissing Halo 3 because it feels like Halo 1 or 2 with better graphics and shiny bland landscapes, which is exactly what it is. There is nothing new about it. I prefer more realistic games like COD4. The vehicle controlsareweak in the Halo series and the constant jumping and exaggerated physics make the game feel like a cartoon. The game is a solid 8.5 so its not bad, but all of the hype raises expectations which were not met. COD4 far exceeded all itsexpectations and has a more realistic gameplay. The multiplayer is great with lots of unlockables and goal to shoot for. The campaign is fantastic, but way too short and that's the only knock against it.

sir.. i could not have said it better myself.
have not played halo3 since i got all the achievements, chances of me playing it in the future 1%
have not playing cod4 since yesterday i think, will still play it after i got all the achievements even though i havent yet.

one more thing you make you look like an ass if i may. Timesplitters also had a variety of weapons, duel weapons and multiple game types.
Goldeneye and perfect dark also had duel weapons and different modes of play. It had a knife. I dont think timesplitters had a sword though.
and...yeah.. the no jumping cod 4... lol..
Halo hasnt done ANYTHING to improve upon shooters since the first. Hell it barely did anything of its own original mechanic. I think one of the few things it did in its originality was it made grenades usable while using a gun and the melee attack I think.
thats it. yeah.. the the fact that you tried to use the "duel weapons" thing to halo 2s strength is idiotic in itself since perfect dark and goldeneye were already doing that.

pardon the 3rd post folks.
I dont get where you think CoD 4 is repetative. I do agree that it was short. But repetative? sniper missions. Special ops missions. Battlefield type of missions to your merit were a bit repetative. Though just about every battle in halo 3 was pretty repetative imo.
The single player had some replay value much like halo 3. Though i admit halo 3 did offer a bit more. The skulls usually yielded some new kind of armor (didnt do anything just looked neat i guess.) and you got some bonus funny effects or something that made the game harder.
I do however believe the ending was pretty weak. Especially considering the last rush to the end was too much like the original.
COD4 is sooo much better than halo 3, i still play it but only with friends cuz i hate those halo kids so much.

I thought halo 3 had ranks too. Who are halo kids?
Umm yea my favorite part of Call of Duty is playing the same goddamn war 3 games in a row, that spent like 150 dollars!!
It awesome when you waste money on games that have been recreated 1000 times. How many war games do we need.
You CODers are jealous that Infinity Ward is no competetor for bungie, and its popularity. Sure, its got good graphics but some new weapons wouldnt hurt. And telling people not to like halo 3 is pointless, so put on your jammies and go to bed.
