i was hooked on it for awhile but then traded it in after i hit prestige it just got boring, i guess if there were online acheivements i might still have it.insomniac_loser
I completely agree with you about it getting boring after you hit your first prestige. I dont think its Fustrating or anything.. its just that I dont see why people are so hooked on it...
to me it was the other way around. the game was too easy and didnt really take skills online that is wy i went back to play halo 3j-killer-316
I tried going back to halo but i noticed halo 3's slower framerate even more after playing cod 4...and don't give me that "the human eye can't see passed 30 fps...well theres a reason why monitors have a refresh rate of 72 hz to be flicker free...because yes the human eye can see the flicker.

I'm more interested in your Win/Loss ratio.
Why? The matchmaking's a joke i can't even begin to tell you how many games i've entered where it was pretty much over. I thought COD4 has a great multiplayer and i'm very hooked. Almost on my third prestige(sp) and i've only had it for about a month. I don't find it frustrating besides the matchmaking.
Seriously, why is everyone so addicted to CoD4? I mean it was fun until I reached my 1st prestige but after that it just got boring as balls.73X
Fun actually getting something for kills, enjoy using different weapons anyway i want, and enjoy the overall multiplayer experience.
I probably would have enjoyed/played it more if there was more of an incentive to do prestige over 10 times. All you get for doing prestige over again is a little icon. Had they made it to where every time you hit a new prestige level you got a new weapon or perk or something I probably would have kept playing.73X
True but then people would probably just be like"Oh wanna just stop playing and help each other gain xp" instead of just simply playing. I'll never go to 10 prestiges they don't really mean anything to me. Just something to do to keep the game alittle less boring plus i wanna get a cooler icon.
I understand what you're saying man, but keeping it just a little less boring just didn't cut it for me, personally.73X
Yeah i'm getting BF:BC so i don't play COD4 to death.
Veteran gets pretty frustrating in the later levels (d**n you Chernobyl). The online MP isn't "noob friendly" at all, probably because matchmaking by skill is virtually non-existent. I prestiged 4 times and beat the SP on Veteran, then went back to Halo 3. After you play COD4 long enough, you realize it's just rinse and repeat gameplay, that is more about luck than skill. I'm all for picking up Battlefield: Bad Company, imo it's got a higher level of gameplay than COD4. Screw game reviewers, I know what I like.Soda-Jack
Most people say that COD4 requires more skill to play well than Halo 3. I agree with that. I only play Team Deathmatch in COD4 and I usually average 20-25 kills per match. I don't use jugger-stand or any of the cheap perks. I had a match a couple days ago where I broke my all time best for Team Deathmatch and got 40 kills with 7 deaths. 3 guys on the other team were gold cross prestige "veterans". I'm a 55 and never went prestige. I don't need a symbol to tell me that I'm good at the game. Besides, I play it for fun.
In Halo 3 I maxed out at level 42 or 43. I enjoyed the game up until that update that ruined the melee timing and rewarded less skilled players with simultaneous deaths for both combatants when they both throw melees. If my melee hits first then the other guy should die. They had it right and then people complained and they changed it and took even more skill out of the game. I was never trying to be a General anyways. My friends are all Commanders and Majors and I'm the only Colonel. You can't become a Brigadier or General if your teammates can't help you get there.
And the trash talk is so bad in Halo 3 compared to COD4. You can beat a team by 25-30 kills and then after the match they call you "lucky nubz" and "sniper whore, rocket whore, etc." Then if you have a close match and lose 50 to 49 or 50 to 48 you have a bunch of teenagaers taunting you and telling you how bad they just "pwned" you and how you should "never play Halo again" and other great things.....
Halo is more played out and stale than any other big franchise out there right now. I don't see how anyone can find it more entertaining than COD4. And going back to Halo 3 after COD4 is laughable from a frame rate and graphics perspective. Halo 3 feels like playing in slow motion on an original XBOX.

I agree with some of the things that you mentioned, but I totally disagree about your opinion on which game requires more skill. In COD4, and I'm sure that you will agree, whoever sees who first is who gets the kill 95% of the time. Halo 3, you could see someone first, start shooting, and they could possibly turn and not just kill you but your whole team. It requires more skill to turn that near death in Halo 3 to a kill, alot more than the "one hit deaths" of COD4. Also, although it's fun to get your airstrikes and heli's in a neverending cycle of carnage, it doesn't require skill to call an airstrike, or to watch a helicopter bot get your kills for you. Fun but certainly not hard once you know what your doing. My k/d last time I looked was 1.68, and my best game was 33 kills 2 deaths. I'm so burnt out on COD4's gameplay, I haven't picked it up in monthes.I completely agree with you about the maturity level of the two separate communities though. If Halo has a monkey on it's back, it's definately the amount of childish people you run into online. COD4 has a much better community of gamers.
halo3 roxlennyh
Maybe you suck at it because you play too much halo.
You just have to get used to a different play style. Besides, i don't even know if you're talking about SP or MP. Your post was just a question mark.
