I think of it as an awesome game that I can always slink back to when I don't feel like playing any of my other games. ^_^;; Which isn't right now cause I'm currently playing a load of Street Fighter IV. :D

It definitely has not invented the entire FPG genre, but it effectively reinvented the FPS genre on a console. No other console FPS before it integrated all the nuances of an FPS as well as Halo did. I guess Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark were alright for their time, but Halo was to console FPSes like the invention of the analog stick was to the entire world of console gaming.

The suit Master Chief wears helps him jump high. It's not supossed to be realistic. Any game with Aliens invading earth arn't realistic. lol exactly. aliens come in, realistics go out
really the only thing i can think of is that i find it FUN especially with friends I know many people who hate the game and others who love the game but i mostly find them talking about the multiplayer though
