Because we are on the edge of a spectacular roll of games coming up towards Xmas so we are all speculating on them and that has carried over to more speculation and onto the consoles in general. So the bottom line is mainly because.... gamers are bored lol

I've had mine since day 1 and although I'm having a blast with it I'm always looking forward to that new "toy". Gamers in general enjoy hi tech gadets and always want the new cool thing. So while I dont really need a new xbox any time soon the thought of one is very intresting to a lot of us.
With the current lineup coming out and all the dashboard/software updates they're making to the system I doubt they're gonna get rid of it anytime soon.
According to a gamespot article the next xbox is prob not coming out for another 4 or more years. So best enjoy your 360-it's going to be here for some time.
I'm just curious to know what Microsoft is doing for the next generation hardware wise. I wouldn't be upset if it didn't come out for atleast 3 more years.
