Why is Fable II rated M for Mature?

Everything I've seen of it suggests a light hearted hero's tale ala Legend Of Zelda. it seemed very playful. Why an M rating?

Is there something I missed while following this game?

haha, really? that's awesome, if a bit unexpected. but is that the only reason? just those two issues? doesn't seem to be any gore or language. doesn't even seem to be really any real villains.

Yeah, it isn't Zelda, thats for sure. Check out a strategy guide, there are a lot of things that someone might consider offensive.

It is rated M for Mature becuase of the sex. You can have sex, protected or unprotected, you can cheat on your spouse and suffer the consequences, you can hire hookers for sex, you can kill innocent people, including your own family members, you can sacrifice humans to the devil, even your dog can be evil! This is SO not Zelda...

Im guessing it has lots of things that kids should not see.

There is TEH Sex, Condoms, Having Babies and cursing in the game thats why its mature. Alot of sexual themes to say the least.

Another big thing im sure is the fact that you can kill your dog and eat him.

Sex isn't mature at all. it's natural. Gore I could understand, but plain sex? The conervative Bush administration has made us prudes the last 8 years. I'm surprised they didn't pass a law to make everyone sleep in separate beds whether they're married or not.

But killing soldiers and civilians is okay. *sigh*

Sex has been considered mature even before Bush. I certainly don't see full blown sex scenes in R rated movies. If it was natural you'd have pg movies with breasts probably.

yeah i always got a kick out of how alot of parents are so against there kids seeing a boob on tv or a half naked girl. but when it comes to violence they let them watch extremely violent and sadistic movies along with games aswell.

Definatly wierd how alot of the world seems to accept violence over sex, at least imo.

well apparently there's some actual consequences to them in the US... i've never seen any kid or whatever saying he couldn't buy or play certain game... i do think we have ratings here as well, but it's more as an information to the person buying the game, not some kind of law enforcing it... actually i think if they made a law to enforce it there would be riots on the streets :P
