360 degrees of entertainment?
They actually explain this in that "Inside the Xbox 360" vid that came with the original Premium 360 HDD. Can't remember what they said offhand. Anyone still have that vid on their HDD?msjr78\
Can't you download it again? (I'll do it, but my 360 is off for repair:P)
I thought it was all marketing.
MS didn't want to call it "Xbox 2", because it sounded like it was an older-gen console compared to the PS3. Thus, they called it the 360 so people would know it's in the same "next-gen" category as the PS3
...or something like that

Because it sounds good, encompasses all forms of entertainment, and they didn't want something lame like "ps3".
Its called the 360 becuase PS3 had a 3, yet the Xbox 2 wouldnt, and as 99% of consumers are diiots theyd assume the pS3 was better (which it is). So they used a generic 3 number to allow them to say Xbox 3 without it being so. teebeenz
Hmmm... Wait...no, not seeing it. What are we looking at again?

Did you mean to say that the PS3 has ONE good game?
can someone explain to me why the xbox 360 is called 360 (why that number)? is there any reasoning to it?tHeFuTuReHeAd
