Infinite Undicovery, Tales of Symphonia, Zone of the Enders... Need I go on?
And to prevent it from becoming some sort of contradiction.. each Final Fantasy game has its very own standalone story.Elann2008A lot of people would say that when I post the list of 100+ FF games. But in the end, they are still all Final Fantasy games.
Shall I post the list again?Haha forgot your the list holder lol.[QUOTE="DJ_Magneto"][QUOTE="SpArKs424"]More than 13 lol if you count the attics series and all the other handheld devices.SpArKs424

beautiful sig btw.... yes, you should blog the list, then link it under Master Chief
The final (ha) installment will be named "The Final Fantasy".
Final Fantasy, while implying it's a final fantasy, is not the final fantasy they are able to come up with.
[Keep in mind that's not what they're going to call the last game (maybe) just what they should call it]

That's not a bad idea. Maybe I'll do that. Stay tuned...it was said that Square soft was about to go out of business so they created a game that was supposed to be their last and called it Final Fantasy. the game became a hit, saved the company so they keep on churning out games.smerlusYup. Proof that if a studio tries really hard to go out in style they may not go out at all. Until they merge with Enix, that is.

It wasn't an analogy at all. They call it a chair because they just do. They call it final fantasy because they just do. They call it the sky because they just do. There is no reason to call things what they are called other than we all just call them that. It is just used in every day language as a way to communicate with each other. Sorry if I some how confused you but i thought that it was pretty straight forward.

Are you implying that we should name objects after verbs?
Example: "Hey, do you own a ride?" "Yeah, I do. Do you need a ride" "Yeah, my ride is currently in the repair" "Too bad, my ride is in my storage"
im missing the relevance or logic of the analogy here...[QUOTE="chaoscougar1"][QUOTE="ZzZEVOLUTIONZzZ"]

But as stated, there IS a reason it is called Final Fantasy....so it still makes no sense.[QUOTE="AtlanticRock"][QUOTE="DJ_Magneto"] I'm tempted to put the list into my sig underneath "Master Chief Crossing the Deleware."DJ_Magneto

That's not a bad idea. Maybe I'll do that. Stay tuned...dont do it. It will lose its legendary status. I like seeing it pop up in Halo threads to smack sense into someone. "shall I post my list again" is classic, lol

True. I guess it would lose some of its mystique if I had it out there at all times. I'll just wait for the next "Halo Milked" thread to pop up.[QUOTE="ZzZEVOLUTIONZzZ"][QUOTE="chaoscougar1"] im missing the relevance or logic of the analogy here...jad206

firstly, yes it was an analogy. Secondly, no it still doesnt make sense cause there actually a reason for why they called it final fantasy. Thirdly, it can never be comprehended because it doesnt make sense[QUOTE="ZzZEVOLUTIONZzZ"][QUOTE="jad206"] But as stated, there IS a reason it is called Final Fantasy....so it still makes no sense.chaoscougar1

Thirdly, it can never be comprehended because it doesnt make senseA word being used in a language you speak to communicate with other people doesn't makes sense to you? Sure they have a reason they call it final fantasy because of them making a final game that happened to do great and they made 13 more. However they are also words in the english language first and for most which are used to make a title. So asking why they call something final fantasy or a chair reverts back to the simple answer we just do. It is like asking why they call it a chair. I find it hilarious that you people can't comprehend something as simple as this my 4 year old can understand something as simple as this.

my goodness, the fact you have the same comprehension as your four year old son is not a good thing. A title of a game has nothing to do with a simple noun/adjective. When someone asks why its called halo or gears of war or fallout, the common response is not 'because its a word found in the dictionary' we all know they are words, we can all figure that out. He asked about why the devs thought it fit to call it final fantasy when there were 13 of them, i doubt square enix would just say , 'oh because we just do alright' and that has already been established that they didnt do that. you seriously need to think about your illogical analogy and explanation for it before you start insulting people, cause you are just making yourself look a little more sillyPlease Log In to post.
