4 of my 7 games I am going to get are coming out in October. Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Fable 2, and Dead Space. If the developers were smart at least ONE of them would get their act together and release in September. I mean they all know their competitors are releasing in the same month why would they do that?

There could be a number of reasons, but it isn't like this is something new, game companies have been doing this for a long time.

Well you'll be happy to know that most of these game that are slated for an October release will most likely be pushed back.

September, October... Doesn't matter. All those games are released in that time frame for one reason: the holiday season.

I do wish devs would work together to space games out more. It would make them more money rather then cramming them all together at the end of the year. People have only so much money they can spend on games so some games are inevitably going to lose. If they release it during the summer, for example, then it won't be lost in the jumble and people will have the money for it.

They're near Christmas, so more epople will buy them as gifts. And because October isn't that close but cloe enough, people will buy them before as well. It's win or win.

This happens every year. From September to December big name releases come out back to back. I'm use to it by now but it does hurt your pockets.
