Why is the grenade launcher attatchment called noob tube in MW2?

Is this has to do with the Noob Tuber title?

If people run around with a gun with a noob tube, a thumper, scavenger, danger close and commando it is often considered an easy kill.

Therefore even noobs can use it.

Even a single noob tube is considered kind of nooby.

No cause ever since COD4 (Or earlier, idk) people who used the Grenade Launcher were considered noobs cause its an easy kill, and people say that people who use it cant get kills so they resort to the "Noob tube" That is why. :PNintendoGamer3

The first game I played where the reference "noob tube" was used frequently in was counterstrike 1.4-1.6. Auto shottys were the noob tube then.

or we played games that didn't have similar weaponry, or that anything related to a grenade launcher was balanced.

I don't know what the cut-off point for 'young' is, but Halo, Renegade, Republic Commando and Battlefront(all PC except Halo) were some of my favorite back in 2001-2005. None of them had a term and whatever there was for grenade launchers was actually balanced.

word-of-mouth can't really cut it until you experience it. I heard of noob tube for the first time ever when COD4 came around and I didn't experience 'noob tubing' until I owned MW2.

that makes every cod player a noob due to the fact most if not all use the grenade launcher. i dont see the differance in a grenade launcher kill over randomly throwing hand grenades. plus they are real weapons as well. i think we should all run around with sharp sticks it would save arguments on types of weapons being easier to kill with than others.
