why shadowrun will score low on gamespot.

so hopefully everyone knows that shadow run gets reviewed today. My thoughts, don't listen to it. GS will score the game pretty low because, A. they won't like the fact that there is no sp or more gametypes, B. lackluster graphics and c. its sounds like jeff was unimpressed with the magic(if he is reviewing it) which is what makes this game so good. He described shadowrun as CS with magic. Personally, that is a very good compliment, but he didn't say it as a compliment. i think this is BULL S417. gears of war released with thre gamtypes, a very short campain, and only somewhere around nine maps. gears is a great game because it intruduced somthing new to video games and was original. Shadow run is very original and has bigger maps then GOW, more origanal gameplay, and much worse graphics(not everything can be good) its only missing a short, and very unoriginal story mode.

Also don't think of me as bashing GOW, i love the game and play alot, i was just using it as an example that shadow run is just like it, in terms of content.

It deserves 7.5 or below. As fun as it is, it lacks single player, and it lacks multiplayer (what it's supposed to be focused on) variety. THERE'S THREE MULTIPLAYER MODES ALL OF THEM INVOLVE CAPTURING OR DEFENDING THE ARTIFACT. What a waste of 60 bucks.Lavagasm

bomb diffusing and capture the flag, right? but then again there was user made stuff, but thats not the point 

You guys shouldn't make fun of Jeff, just because he doesn't like a game about elves and dwarves growing trees and jumping around with uzis, and in which that you have to wait 10 minutes to get into a game. And, I might add, seems to lose connection only two minutes into gameplay.

Besides, there is no single-player game, and for a multiplayer game, it sure lacks many maps to play on. Not that Shadowrun is bad or anything, but just my two cents.

who cares about GS reviews anyways they suck, i think it will get a 7 something, no single p and grfx aren't as good as other games, GS compares grfx way to much and nitpicks a lot.

 I'm referring to what my friends who own the game have told me. I'm predicting this game is going to get something around a 7.5. Here's why. Several of Jeff's comments really stick out:

1) Jeff said the game pretty much involves "capture the flag and capture the flag and capture the flag."

2) Jeff said, "the game has alot of neat concepts that don't always work out."

3) Jeff said the game is multiplayer only and only has 9 maps (each with a small and large version)

4) Jeff said he also has experienced a hard time joining games online (which isn't good for a game that's online only).

 Anyway, I might enjoy the game, because I like Counter-Strike, but I don't expect it to score high either.

Yeah - I completely agree with that - I don't think its going to score high either due to a lack of options, etc. The thing is - its just so much friggin FUN! :) I'm with you though on the mid-7's score from GS.ryanjtravis

In the end, fun is what matters. I bought Chromehounds and realized it wasn't perfect, but I played it all the time, simply because I had so much fun playing it with friends online.

IMO the game only suffers from connection problems and some lag, but it only happened a couple of times in the 6 hours that I played.

Ureaka I think the guy has had a break through games are all about FUN, what have I been thinking playing games to get achievement points (sarcasm BTW).

Love the game when those probems dont accur its absolutaly amazing in every way. Magic, guns and flying trolls three things I thought i would never say in the same sentence.
