why the hate for Section 8?(haha it rhymed)

I just played the demo. it was pretty cool. my only complaint was how slow the characters moved. other than that, I liked it. why all the hate???

i actually enjoyed it.

I thought it was pretty fun actually, might get old after a while but I think the online multiplayer could be fun with a group of friends.

I only played the demo for a little bit, right off the bat I didn't really like the way the weapons felt. Plus that whole lock-on thing. The game felt a little clunky to me. I am going to give it another shot tomorrow though.

I didnt hate it at all. I enjoyed the demo. i liked the way you spawn, the jet packs, the customizations and doing objectives.

Crap, I forgot to download the demo, I need to remind myself.

Played one game on the demo and quit. The cinematic made me want to play it and then....poop. It was bad.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. Seems people were expecting it to play and feel just like Halo but it's more in line with pc squad based shooters like Battlefield 2. I find the weapons to work fine - some damage shields, some damage armour, pick the best weapon for the best situation. If you're using a rocket launcher in CQB you're doing it wrong. If you want a faster mech then customize your loadout and put your points into the polarity charger - more speed, jet pack and shields, you might have to lose some armour though. You need to customize your classes and have different loadouts for each situation.

It was kind of fun playing, however its the sort of thing id get bored with after a day (infact I have now deleted the demo from my hard drive)

I think its getting a lot of hate though because it is too generic, there doesnt seem to be anything "new" to it.

www.zavvi.co.uk has got this for £18 on 360 and £15 on pc - bargain! I'm getting the pc version.

Anyway, I thought it was alright but I personally felt that the walking speed was way to low to make close quarters combat any fun. It's way to difficult to effectively strafe out of fire and the environment is so open that you could potentially find yourself in a fire fight with no cover near by. That doesn't really mean it's a bad game, but personally I just don't like it.

What I don't get is the people who are complaining about the graphics. I really don't get people here. I'm starting to think they don't know the difference between good graphics and their preferred art style. I see alot of people who will say a game has bad graphics if the game is colorful and doesn't look dark and gritty like Gears of War or something.
