why's everyone so good at the sniper ?

i love the gears of war sniper but am just wondering why people use it all the time like why not be legend with the hammerbust or whatever you call it ...... or the torque or the boomshot and same with halo sniper ??

it is a very long range weapon and NOOBS don't like to get up close and personal, unless you loosing very, very badley don't resort to this tactic.monkeysrule16

As far as I can remember people used to get REALLY pissed when someone other then themselves get the sniper. Basically everyone wanted to use it and be good with it because they knew it was the best gun in the game...

ive played good snipers but i dont use it at all unless im playing 1 v 1 with my friendTX360

Snipe is one of the easier mega weapons to use in Gears. All you need to do is hit an active reload and you will almost definitely get a kill. Most players can not hit a lot of head shots with it, so really it's not about "skill" of any sort. A weapon like the Hammer of Dawn takes a little finesse, and the torque bow is not available on the more popular maps.jstarzyk

ranked games dont have custom weapons

I'm not a huge fan of the sniper, probably because I can't wield it as it should be. Also, I lack the patience to set up shop and snipe. I much prefer up close and personal action. ;)

Each to their own. More power to those who can wield them, I know they are quite useful in team based games like Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3.
