any way what games do you like to play I would say PS3 if you want like RPGs and action or adventure games stuff you dont find many of on 360 I find the wii is only really fun when you have people over I got it launch beat zelda and its been sitting on my desk since
Hey i already own a 360 and im thinking about getting another console. So which one would you get a Wii or a PS3? I keep wondering if if the PS3 is worth that $600 and for the Wii im concerned that all the 3rd party developers aregoing to just bring out previously released games with Wii controls. Also,if anyone has a ps3 and 360 is there a noticable difference between the graphics with certain games like Elder Scrolls 4? Much thanksArcticFlame99Graphic difference....no
[QUOTE="nooblet69"]If I had to pick between both and I had the money to throw down I would go with ps3 simply because of the leap in technology. I have a nice home theater and playing blu-ray discs would be nice too. But honestly I am waiting to see if there is a price drop before I go for it. There are no really good games out for it yet except for resistance which isnt even that amazing. The wii is supposed to have good games and gameplay but the graphics are like gamecubes =/. If I was you I would wait a couple months and see what direction the ps3 and wii's are going in.Lachdanan0121
it may be looked at as a leap in technology but it is not what you think it is. the ps3 is lacking definately on the gamming side,
You are lacking definitely on the education side, point being?
Go for the Wii. The PS3 and 360 share most of the same games and Oblivion only looks better because it has had more dev time spent on it whereas the 360 and PC versions launched together.illbitcrusher
Yeah, I have a 360 and I just picked up a Wii a few weeks ago and I"m very happy! It's a very entertaining console and everybody loves it! Having the PS3 would almost be like having another 360 because you are going to get a lot of the same games which produce the same gaming experience. The Wii is totally different and it's a blast to play so I would get that one for sure.
If you are looking for a second console i say the Wii is the better choice.
I own all three systems. Im finding the ps3 very redundant right now. The Wii is not perfect either, but it is "different" enough to make it a bit more entertaining. You are right about the third party companies dumping ps2 ports with wiimote controls tacked on...that is getting kind of old. Neither of the two systems even come close to being "the whole thing" like the 360.
As far as graphics go, you wont notice any improvements with the ps3....especially with multiplats...in many cases the graphics, frame rate, etc, ( not to mention online features ) are not as good as the 360. But you will see glimmer of hope in games like Motorstorm and Resistance.
Its really a hard choice. later in the year when the big games come out for both systems...you will want both systems....so get all three, like i did.

it may be looked at as a leap in technology but it is not what you think it is. the ps3 is lacking definately on the gamming side, i was thinking of getting one myself, but its been 8 months since launch and has only one or two games that i would even rent much less buy, plus the power of it is a little over-rated. not to mention the price, the blu ray is a good thing but only for the movies, could pose a problem in gamming, pc gamming doesnt need it so all other gamming shouldnt either, second blu ray has a super slow read x time. 1-2x but other than those 2 facts if they start putting quality games out and maybe drop the price once more blu-ray and hd-dvd players are sold then i might infact get one, but as of now and the near futurefor me it would be a non-wise purchase.
besides, most games coming for it will be on the 360
