[QUOTE="juicenpancakes"] This is definitely a game I want to buy and play in the future, but with the insane amount of great games coming out in the next few months, I don't wanna spend $60 right now, especially with all the crap I'm playing now and will be playing. So even in a year/year and a half, will a game like this be a platinum hit? ($30, with silver box stuff)
The thing is, games like Gears of War and Oblivion which have been out for a long time (around 2 years I think), are still $60 and aren't platinum hits. Any ideas? (side note: it would make my life happier if Forza 2 became a platinum hit too)

It's not going to be a platinum hit for a long, long time. It's still moving a lot of copies.
But I have a more important question for you: Why not just buy it anyway? Granted, there's tons of good games coming out, but Bioshock may just be the best game I've played in the last 5 years. I'm not the only one who thinks so, as do 100's of critics. (http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/931329.asp)
Seriously. If it's between Bioshock and Assassin's Creed, you'd be a fool..
Oh I know... Its so hard for me to not go out and buy it right now... but Im in the middle of plenty of other games, ton of games comin out, not too much time... and number one, i dont have much money. But yeah, I dont think Ive read one review under a 9 (or 4.5)
So I'll probly get it soon, but I just thought I'd raise the question about the Platinum Hits.
