Actually its 9 people.
There are also a lot of side quests in each HUGE city.
So there will be a lot of things to do.

I read that mass effect isn't that long, 18-30 hours or something like that. I was expecting like 50 or so, but maybe there is a lot of side quests and stuff.

i hoped mass effect could of did 60.

Well its just how much time you will put into it. I expect Assassin's Creed (and Mass Effect) to a lenghty adventure (for me). :D
They are saying it will take u between 18 to 40 hours to beat but you only have to kill 7 people.Ty-Bot
the people you have to kill will porbably be like "bosses" of the game. there will most likely be a lot to do aside rom killing the 9 people. also, the crusades part is oly part of the game, if you saw the e3 preview of the game, there are futuristic sci fi parts to it.
