We all know this has been the uproar for some time, but with the drawing nigh of GTA IV's release and the record number of pre ordered copies do you think Take Two will bow down and sell to EA after it is all said and done???IMO the net worth of Rockstar will be way too high for EA to get a deal done...
You change gears quickly. EA has too much money. Sadly I think EA will get what they are after in the end. I'm not sure what they're motive is...but if they are willing to do a hostile takeover they will stop at nothing until they have Take2.

Weren't they saying 2 Billion was a great offer?
I just don't understand what they want out of it. Did they only want the deal if they could get their hands on GTA4? Did they want to change the game, do they just want the sales, are they trying to kill their sports competition? They still get 2/3. If they delayed the game and changed it, I'd boycott GTA4.
All the advertising possible in GTA4...if EA got ahold of it, your Glock9 would have a Nike logo on it.
EA will get whatever they want when it comes to software. They are the Microsoft of the Game Software industry.
That being said - it may not be a bad thing if BioWare is any indication. It appears that EA is buying the developers and intellectual properties but then is pretty much going hands off. Why is this a good thing you might ask?
Because we won't have any more Majesco fiascos where games such as Demonik that EVRYONE was waiting for permanently get shelved due to bad earnings and profitability. If EA stays hands off and is just a financial support conglomerate for the smaller studios then i am all for it because it means the games we want will continue to be funded and therefore get made. :)
Now if EA decides to stick their fingers in everything like they were doing until a few months ago - then I would go back to hating them. But for now I am happy to have EA's money making the games i want to see actually happen and still allowing the original developers the creative freedom to make the games happen the right way!
down with EA, i won't buy gta 4 if they buy it out. they just want all of the adss they can put in the game.... there will rpoibly be adds for things but it will be game contrent like clucken bell if they have it in gta 4, like in san andreas.
