he never specified trilogy however they most definitely had plans for multiple games, too human and mass effect were built to be trilogies however

I really doubt it.

There are no weapons shared between the two series.

There is no metion of Earth, Reach, Harvest or any of Halo's planet in Gears. And there is no metion of Serra in Halo.

Man kind doesnt seem to have the ability to travel through space in Gears. And Serra could not have been man kinds starting point in Halo. Earth is already said to be that.

Why in bloody H...E...Double Hockey Sticks would you think it even a remotely good idea for the two franchises to be linked. They characters on either side (good guys vs bad guys) are not close to the same. If anything a Halo/Starcraft collaboration would be more likely since in both games there are three factions that are eerily similar to one another.

Gears and Halo are also two completly different styles of game. Halo is cartoony and Gears is bloodier and very much darker.

Not to mention the story lines dont compare and who ever would attempt to combine the two games would have to pull some major garbage out their rear to get the two, vastly dissimilar, storylines to meld into one.

Erm I believe Halo attracts hardcore gaming crowds as well. People still love Halo 2 and Halo 3 is still the most played shooter.
