Yeah, the TT engine was really good - I didn't really think other GTA games' graphics were that good, even for last gen (just my opinion) but this is gonna look really slick. But I really hope they change some of the side missions (timed + fetch and return missions = BORING)Â but I reckon that Rockstar are more than capable to make it work.
gta isnt about graphics that was clear with san andreas. they push systems as far as they can go in size and scope, not minute texturing and detail.Yeah, the TT engine was really good - I didn't really think other GTA games' graphics were that good, even for last gen (just my opinion) but this is gonna look really slick. wont it be better on ps3? blu ray right?CrackThaRippertheoretically, it can hold more content texture and detail
wont it be better on ps3? blu ray right?CrackThaRipperWell the rule goes with every new gen of consoles hardware, games expect 5x more storage. 360 only has 2x more storage. Rockstar will be doing 2 things. 1. Making GTA4 for the 360 to fit things in. This is the worst option for gamers, but the best just for 360 owners. or 2. Making the game on the PS3 which meets the storage needs and then reduces or degrades the content to fit on the 360. Thing is, while this will happen this time around, dont expect it to on the next. GTA4:2 will probably be dev'd for the PS3 first then ported down later like the way they did it for the PS2. I mean even launch games on the PS3 are averaging 15gig so a GTA game, down the road is going to be pushing a hell of alot more.

Size will not be a problem until the end of these systems life cycles, oblivion is far bigger than any ps3 game to date (and any gta for that matter), and it fits on a DVD. And mark my word, when the 360 starts hurting from the size of the dvd, microsoft will be ready to launch the next xbox, even if it is 4 years down the road. And the launch games on the ps3 are so big because developers: 1. Don't worry about compression with all of that free space 2. Fill the disc with garbage data to improve load times.
How can you possibly make any judgments about a game that has had no public info released?Raz0redgehere's what i think... Rockstar made table tennis to create the next gen graphics and get used to programming on the 360. Now theyre making LA Noire, a game with driving physics and will allow them to figure out the PS3 architecture. They're smart over at Rockstar, why spend all your time developing one massive game, when you can develop it piece by piece and still make money in the process.

What ground did GTA: SA break?limpbizkit818bikes, stats, gang territory, respect, forming a gang... eating...
1. Don't worry about compression with all of that free spacebballboy986Actualy PS3 games all use compression. Motorstorm for example has 2:1 compression and its sitting around 18gigs.
2. Fill the disc with garbage data to improve load times.bballboy986Bethesda admitted that was not as dramatic as they had said and infact it was to the same point as on the 360s version. PS3 games which use the HD for cache dont need duplicate data at all, but some do becuase lets face it. They can. I really do wish MS had just waited and put the HDDVD drive in.
i'll cry if the ps3 gets a better version of gta with better graphics and more missions. im not kiddin i really willtanman636GTA4 Im guessing will be identical bar a few exclusive things (maybe a car or two) for each. Except for the whole motion sensor driving/flying and such.
i'll cry if the ps3 gets a better version of gta with better graphics and more missions. im not kiddin i really willtanman636all rumors. Im sure there will be just slight graphical differences between the 2 and thats it. Each system gets their own unique downloadable content as well. That info was released back with the release date.

The graphics won't be much different i think. And the 360 get's some exclusive content, and they said the content was really huge, not like just an extra mission or some new weapons.

But they are not all being developed by Rockstar North, the creators and developers of the Grand Theft Auto series, who will have been working on GTA4 for 3 years by the time the game is released this year and should have already finished the basics...
imagine this. saints row with airplanes, more weapons, more cars, motorcycles, boats...
its like the iphone. you shouldnt get the first generation one, it has alot of cool stuff, but they didnt go abone and beyond with any of it. so AT VERY LEAST GTA IV will just make things better in terms of graphics fun shootouts drive bys etc..
i hope this gta will take place in the far future :)tanman636Yeah they should have a name change aswell, call it something like Crackdown.
um, the rockstar table tennis engine. enough said.I agree with this statement, that's all I need to know is that they're using the Rockstar Table Tennis engine. I'm definately getting this game for sure.
