Will Halo Reach top Halo 3?

Do you guys think Halo Reach will be as good as Halo 3 in terms of campaign, multiplayer,hype or even gameplay for that matter? I didn't get a chance to play the beta, so I don't really know. Halo 3 goes down as one of the best games this gen, so can Reach top that?

I highly doubt MOH or COD:BO is going to defeat this. Halo Reach will be the greatest shooter of all time. (So far.)

Reach looks be better than Halo 3. The campaign seems much more story-driven, and the multiplayer looks nothing short of incredible.

I think it will, but I think there will also be a lot of traditionalists who don't like what's happening with Reach and are going to go around preaching about how halo 3 was the better game. That seems to happen with a lot of big sequels. Nevertheless, I'll be welcoming Reach eagerly.

They're doing something right to turn me into a Halo fan, I hated 3 but the beta made me go pre-order Reach.

I think it will. It looks so much better from what I've seen.

Reach is everything Great from past halo Games with its own style in there so in other words yes.

Halo 3 is a tough act to follow, but Reach is more than capable of beating it out. Reach will be one of the best games of all time, no doubt.

I believe that Halo Reach will top Halo 3. Reach finally has a feature for players to make their own maps. Something I personally have been waiting for a long time in Halo. Also, having played the beta, the gameplay in Reach is a big improvement for the series.

Yeah, I think Bungie has really taken in all the feedback they have received from their previous 4 titles and really put them together for an ultimate game. Not only does the multiplayer look outstanding, most importantly the campaign is finally something to look forward to since halo CE. Can't wait for this one... This will be the reason gamers will want to buy an xbox 360 again.

reach gives me a tingly feeling :L although i think black ops looks awesome and will easily be better than mw2, i dont think reach will leave my disk tray for a while

After playing the Beta I have no doubts. I can't wait to play co-op and Firefight!

And I'm not gonna look at any more threads about Halo Reach, too many #####s throwing spoilers out there.

I agree that Halo Reach is going to kick ass but I wouldnt go so far to say it will destroy every game coming out then. Remember reach is for xbox only where as COD:BO is for every system... yes even wii lol. I think sales wise COD:BO is going to make more definitely on all systems but if you just look at the xbox then it might be close I think.

Even if Reach fails ( it won't ) Halo fans will buy it anyways. I would at least, and there are probably millions of Halo Fans around the world, it will top any game. The Halo franchise is all about success, Bungie knows what they are doing, they listen to us.
