Will Halo2 work on 360?

Never owned the original xbox, and never played Halo2. (played Halo on PC) I just bought a 360 with Halo 3, and want to find out what I missed by purchasing Halo2, but will it work for the 360?

However, you need to have the hard disk drive (which you do unless you bought the Core system only) and you need to update the system. You will either update by going on Xbox Live, downloading and burning a CD/DVD with the update program to run on your 360 (I did a CD-R of it but my 360 didn't recognize it unfortunately), or you can order the update on disc from xbox.com. I also got the update through Official Xbox Magazine's demo disc. Go to this website for the full info:
