i enjoy military and scifi shooters like everyone else but a realistic shooter based on self/home defense would be refreshing plus it may be good practice for real life. each lvl would be about different people in a situation using firearms for defense. each lvl would limit you to 3 guns and a set amount of money for ammo. i would choose a beretta 9mm with several 18 round mags for in the house and for ccw on the street. a good 12 gauge shotgun rotating 00 buckshot and slugs. and the ak47 for when the **** hits the fan and you are invaded by several bad guys.
It'd be an interesting concept, but ultimately, the game would end up with a multiplayer feature that lets you play the invaders, and it's all downhill PR-wise from there.
Sounds fun, as long as "self defense" means ... "Hey you looking at me?? You looking at me???" *pulls out Lancer and chainsaws offending person's face off*

Unless you live in a city or state that limits the ownership and/or usage of firearms. Here in NYC, it wouldn't be like real life at all.
Hey thats actually a good idea for a game, home defense kinda of like the movie called THE ROOM or somthing where the story can be like your sleeping in bed or somthing and like you hear windows break and stuff etc... and you really dont have any guns or w.e you basically use anything that u can as a weapon , and you have a garage, and like a shed perhaps? that would be an amazing game actually you can use everything as a weapon, pipes, boards, chairs, jewlery!! lol but seriously anything knives from the kitchen so wow this would be kinda like Condemed but with a thriller instead of a horror i really hope they look at this forum :)
what about somthing like they want somthing in your house thats very valuble or like you have amnesia and you used to work for like the cia or somthing idk think guys think! lol basement,1st floor, 2nd floor , atic, garage, shed, car, this game would be really good just think of a storyline
I don't think having Al Quedaorothersaidbadguys storm your house with AK-47's would be very fun or realistic. Nor do I think that people would care enough about you to lay siege to your house.
Cabala's "Front Yard Safari" or "Get off My Lawn!!!". Or Waco2, the Revenge!! Yeah, I'd run right out & buy that :PColoradoKindBud
LOL. That could be a 360 gold mine right there. But seriously, I think they could turn it into a stealth type game where someone sneaks in and you have to sneak downstairs and get em or something. That's, personally, the only way I see that they could make this game.
I got a good idea for one level. Someone sneaks into your house in the middle of the night. You have a gun, but the lights are off so you can't see exactly who the person is, but you can see where they are. So you can either shoot into the darkness and hit the person or turn the lights on and see what's going on. Easy choice? Well, the person in the dark is your daughter, but the player doesn't know this while their paying the game......
