Nah, it eventually will be free, but what's tempting me is Blackout, since it's Lockout, but I was thinking that I will most likely never play the game anymore because of GTA4, and all these other games. So nah.

Yes I am, just because I want the new maps not because of a particular one. I think if you still play the game just buy the map pack. Its only $10, and if you can't spend 10 bucks on something you shouldn't be gaming. Get a job.
No way, I felt gipped when the GeoW maps were given away freee after I bought them. The only map(s) I would buy are Vegas originals. Would pay 800 points for just Calypso.

As there will be hoppers that require the maps off the bat and the fact that Bungie has stated that these maps will not be free, so far as they know at this point (2nd question after the pics), I will get them ASAP.
Also I got the Heroic maps and loved playing custom games on them, all you need is a few friends and access to the custom maps at Bungie.net.

they never ripped you off, they announced when the pack was brought out it would be made free around the time of the next map pack. i think ill buy the pack maybes. coz ive got 200 odd points left on my account and they is a few things i could buy to use up my 2100 points id have to use on the card. i think i might get the cod4 & new halo3 map pack and also get the new planets for mass effect as well. work out about 2200 so i should just scrape through. glad i never spent my left over points this time on gay pictures i never use on my name :p mind you got the transformers film for 150 points in hd to watch which was quite a cheap deal. but now unless the add on over DLC is something proper mint then i tend to now look to how id spend all the 2100 points since i can only buy the card as i dont have a credit card to buy smaller amounts

whatever.. its not like I played Rats nest or Stand off anyway. Only map I ever ended up playing on the heroic was Foundry. And since this new map pack offers no new forge items I wont be buying it.
No i don't i haven't played it in a long time and i don't intend to anytime soon i just couldn't get into it like i could with the likes of COD4 and now RSV2.
Every game that has had map packs so far i've hardly played with the exception of GRAW 2. The ones for Halo 3, RSV and FEAR I probably played for about three days tops so when it comes to map packs just wait till there free unless it's something like COD4.

While I agree with you, and the same thing happened to me, Bungie said countless times that you won't see the maps in Matchmaking until they become free so that a large majority of the players will have them.
But I will just because of Blackout and Avalanche. My 2 favorite maps evar coming for Halo 3.
