I didnt know what it was either until I clicked that link and saw JRPG (then I left immediatly). Sorry JRPG's are the worst type of game for me. darkserpent213
yes, I love me some JRPGs. The graphics are downright beautiful (this is where video games can be described as art) and the fighting system is fresh and unique.
and its not really turn based, to an extent. From the gameplay I've seen there are turns, but your character has either a limited amount of time or distance they can move and the attacks are more of an action based system. Also enemies react differently in light than they do in shadow adding more elements to the gameplay.
And the story is just down right original, look it up I don't feel like explaining.
Ya i just read the preview of it voer to IGN and it sounds awsome. I really like the artistic design to it graphically and they said the fight system was more action then turn base..kinda like a FF12 deal
I'm pretty likely to get this game. To a certain extent, I definitely agree that Japanese anime is a huge turnoff for me, and that the storylines in jrpg games are all starting to blend together the more of them I've played over the years, but this game looks like it may end up being a surprisingly good one. It has some very talented people (of Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger fame) working on it, and what I've read of the storyline so far is quite original. Plus it isn't like the Next Generation is overflowing with rpg options at the moment. I'm so desperate that I may go try out that turd of a game Enchanted Arms again if nothing else comes out soon.
