Im not getting it. But not because of the developer, because of the setting. Modern Warfare is too much fun for me to want to go back to WWII.......AGAIN.
I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt this situation will occur, but if they did make a horrible decision like this I would still get it. I didn't think COD3 was that bad.......

I can already predict this....COD 5 will be called back to ww2 or something like that...Then after the first few weeks of release they will see no one is into it like COD 4.Then they will end up making the 6th one called modern warfare 2...
Why the hate for Treyarch? They're actually good developers. COD3 was nothing spectacular, but it wasn't horrible either. Just really mediocre. So yes, I'll probably buy it(or at the very least borrow it from a friend).
Heck no! Cod3 was he worst. I couldnt stand playing that one. As soon as I finished it I immediately went back and played Cod2 again and could not believe the difference between the two. The graphics in 2 were way better than 3 as well as the gameplay and overall feel. Treyarch should be forced to call their game something else like Crap O' DooDoo 5.

but i haven't played Crap O' DooDoo 1-4 yet...CoD3 was a good game but you can't compare it to CoD2, 4 or even CoD1for that matter. Infinity Ward is the only developer who knows how to make a true CoD game.
another reawon I miht get it if it takes place in Vietnam. Maybe we can finally have a good Vietnam game. Sure COD3 wsn't as good asthe othyers but it wasn't that bad

No...no they're not. Everything about them is mediocre. Every single game they've developed has been mediocre or worse. And more recently, they've been worse. i will not buy COD5. I'm going to play Modern Warfare until the next Infinity Ward game comes out.
1. What else is coming out at the time that has my interest?
2. Is it a World War II game? (If this is the case I will almost definitely not get it).
3. Finally, what do the reviews look like? I don't base my purchases around critics opinions but I do take them into consideration. I usually read the reviews in their entirety to see if they mention things that appeal to me or things that I know will annoy me and then I will make a decision. $60 is too much money to spend blindly.
What made this one so great was that it wasn't just another WW2 shooter, it was modern and unique. And chances are CoD5 will go back to WW2, so no I'm not gonna get it unless it's another modern one (which it would be in their best interest to do).
While COD3 wasn't a bad game, I will not spend $60 on COD5 if treyarch makes it. I will just play it at a friends house like I did with COD3. If I wanted a mediocre shooter, I would spend less money and get an older game elsewhere.
iam really sick and tired of world war 2 games. cod4 was very succesful because it was modern it was even better than any in the series i dont know why are they going back to world war2 but anyways ill see the reviews then decide
CoD5 IS being made by Treyarch and its going to be a WWII shooter as well none of this if stuff. Their games are still allright just not as good as Infinity Ward. CoD2 will probably still stand as the best WWII shooter after 5 but I might get it if people say its good.
