I have always used wireless controllers on my 360, but just recently I bought an off-brand (TSZ) wired 360 controller, because I wanted a controller that I could use on PC as well as 360. Unfortunately it won't work except it can turn my 360 on when I press the "guide" button but it is never recognized as a controller and all four lights keep flashing on the gamepad.

Btw no luck on PC...I am wondering if its broken. :(

I'm inclined to say that it might indeed be broken. I would suggest taking it back to the retailer and getting yourself another. :D

I would read the manual (if it came with one) first. Afterwards, if it still doesn't work for ether, I would get a new one.

I read the manual and followed the instructions and troubleshooting, no luck. I am returning the controller tomorrow

The 360 is programmed to only recognise genuine 360 controllers and approved third party controllers - that's why if you plug in any random controller it won't work.

If the controller you were sold was designed for 360 then it should work. It could be faulty, or just not something approved by MS for the 360. The fact it doesn't work on your PC makes me suspect the controller is faulty.

the official microsoft WIRED xbox 360 controller will work with PC. i'm not sure bout third party wired controllers tho. you might want to check their website for drivers/software.
