So I want to know the differences between the wired headset and the wireless one. I heard that the sound quality is better on the wired, but the wireless is more durable... I want to know every difference you guys know, because I might get a wireless. Please don't give me an answer like, "Wireless sux" or something... I can't rely on that kind of answer!

The only think I really know (since my wife won't let me open my xbox until Christmas) is that the wired headset reaches about 8 feet. So if you are like me and typically sit farther away from your tv than that, the wireless headset might be the better option.

ummmm the wired headset plugs into our controller so....yeah unless your 8 feet from you head to your hands than it wont be a problem. TC get the turtle beach x11's man they are the best bang for you buck and you'll love them.

I'll vouch for the x11s, they rock and cost about same as the wireless set (50$ish)

If you mean just the chat headset: I have both the wired and wirless. The wireless is kind of nice but it hurts my ear after awhile. For the price I think the wired one is better and no worry about the battery running out. If you mean the gaming headset then I like the turtle beaches. X11 for bang for the buck and x41 for all the features (and dollars)

I've gone through at least 5 or 6 wired headsets since December 2008.

I prefer the wireless, because it connects directly to the 360 you don't have to deal with bad plugs, maybe not a big issue with controllers, but is a problem with a lot of racing wheels.

If youre talking about wireless surround sound and mic, ill go with turtle beach x41. Wireless sound really good and alot cleaner with no wire attacheven though i never use the wired one and i doubt itll be that much better, beside i use it for ps3 and i got the wire adapter and the wire broke within a week so i dont like wire.

go and read reviews on the microsoft wired set someplace like amazon or gamestop. the sheer number of complaints on poor quality and short life span makes me think you're just luck.

i have both wired and wireless headsets and i reach for the wirerless every time. my wired would cut in and out and having to connect it to the controller sometimes would get pulled out or caught on a shirt button. with the wireless you can put the remote down to grab a drink and leave the headset on your face without taking the controller with you to the kitchen. the wireless is alot less bulky also. it s easy to charge and lasts a long time before needing another charge.

Wireless is better, period. Better sound quality, higher volume, and no wire...of course. The wired headset's volume is so low..
