Wired Xbox Live Lag?

Lol, i dont get how this works but. I have a Xbox 360 wired to my router (D-Link WBR-2310) and it laggs like no tommorow. My friend has the same router and doesnt lag. We have the same connection speed and live in the same area.

This is a test for www.Speedtest.net:

Down: 4335 kb/s and Up: 409 kb/s

I cannot change my router because my dad just got this one. And it works really good with his labtop.

I there and router settings i have to change or something to get a better internet speed (im with shaw). I have port forwarded it and it didnt do anything so im relying on you guys.

I have the exact same router, but here's the twist...I'm wireless and I have no issue with lag. I have my 360, PS3, 2 Pc's and a Mac all on the same network all working in harmony. I'm no tech guru but I think it's safe to say that it's not the router.

Do you play with your computer on and connected to the internet? That will defenitly slow things down. Other than that I have no clue what your problem could beTruman123

Sometimes i do, sometimes i dont. When the computer/labtops are not on, it still is like a lagfest.

well i don't know but i still think it's ur internet connection. i mean those people who have the same router like yours prolly have a better internet connection and dat is why theirs is not lagging them on Live

i download torrents on my pc and ma brother would be streaming videos on youtube and i'd be playing on Live and dat don't lag me...this tells me dat i have a great connection
