Sounds more like not enough Internet bandwidth.  What is the speed of your broadband?

This has nothing to do with you being wired or Wireless. Go to http://speedtest.net or any other speedtest site and check your Internet speed. Post back the results and we'll take it from there..

Peer to peer software tend to have multiple small streams running and this tries to maximize the use of the available bandwidth. In other words, that software is trying to use as much bandwidth is available. So you're going to notice a huge different with and without that software running. If you can work out a deal where your sister will use limewire at night and not while you're playing, that's about the best you can do.

I don't use limewire, but if you could, change the download/upload settings to like 1/4 of your internet speed.. This may help your situation
