I was considering an xbox elite but am put off by the price of getting another wireless adaptor. i had a 360 and it broke 2 times so i sold it. when you look at the price of the console when you pay for things like xbox live and the wireless adapter makes it closer to £400. not £289 or something close to that.

Anyway, my point is....Xbox ELITE should be wireless. like the PS3 or even the Wii.

some people are willing to pay that much for it - I chose to get a longer cable and a bunch of games instead. There is no need for wireless

I love my Xbox 360 but I am still surprised that the adapter is still close to $100.

you don't have to get the xbox wireless adapter, if you absolutely have to be wireless. There are lots of manufacturers making a wireless bridge that connect to the ethernet port. I picked one up for roughly £25. Microsoft took a gamble and hoped wireless wouldn't be a MUST-HAVE part of the unit. They were right.
