i have the 360 wireless adaptor which worked flawlessly up for two months until 2 days ago. now i get unplayable lag in all my games for example a connection interupted message every 2 seconds in call of duty 4. i have tried an ethernet cable and plugged it into my router and it works fine so what should i do now? ring MS or just get a refund and hope it works? oh and there seems to be a problem whenever i turn on my computer (which is also a wireless internet connection) maybe there could be some connection issues? i really don't know why this has happened tbh....and its annyoing using a wired connection!

I'm affraid I can't help you with the computer, but if your ethernet cable works fine, then use that. Maybe your Xbox is too far from your router.

I guess something is interupting the signal between your comp/xbox and modem router.

that cant be right because i have used the adaptor for 2 months and never had a problem with it, nomatter where i used it. the router is only next door to me so its not that. i acctually moved the router to my room just to check and it still didnt work.

Hmmmm any ideas on what that could be? I have used a wireless connection for my computer for nearly a year and this is the first time i have had these issues.

Ah ok. Well perhaps it may just be the hosts bad connection. When host has a bad connection, everyone has a bad connection, even if you have a pretty decent one.

I think the Wireless Adapter SUCKS! I had it, didn't work.

Get a 100ft ethernet cable or something. Ethernet (wired) > Wireless.

Could be. Try talking to some of your friends about it if they have had the same problems. Failing that then I guess you could call Customer Support or something (if you have the patience) or just ask in the shop that you bought it from.

100 foot? How big is your house? 25 foot was more than enought for me when I was wired, lol.

Could be the router itself. I have problems sometimes with my laptop trying to use the same ip address as the router, which kicks it off.

Could be something else causing interferance too. Other electronics, or some piece of furniture.

Also, if your computer is on at the same time, that may or may not increase the flow of traffic on your router's network.

Just some thoughts.

Quick question, is an ethernet cable just as gd as having wireless or are there any flaws in it apart from the wires? coz i cudnt get my xbox hooked up on live wen i used a wireless adapter

Ethernet is the same speed as wireless but there are no cables with wireless (obviously =P).

Wireless can sometimes be a little problematic at times.

no advantage other than no cables.

Wired is faster (up to 100 megabits/second as opposed to 54), although your internet connection will never be that fast anyways so that's mostly a non-issue unless you're streaming movies or something. Wired is also WAY more reliable, especially if our wireless router isn't great. If you can use wired without the cables being intrusive then you should (I ran cat6 ethernet cables through the walls to all the rooms in my house a long time ago, something you should always consider if you're renovating).

There are a million reasons why your adapter might not be working well. Lots of things could interfere, home phones, microwaves, neighbour's network, new radio tower in your area, etc.

Describe the "problem" related to your compuer, just saying there's a problem won't help anyone diagnose it.
