I've had my 360 runnign on a wireless connection for over a year now, with no problems. But over th elast week - I just get terrible lag. I've tried restarting the router, unplugging and re-connecting everything, but still the same problem.

My PC gets a good connection on the wireless network, but if I watch the connection on my 360 within the network settings - it keeps dropping down to a bad connection, and then going back up to good again!

Is i tpossible that my xbox wireless adapter needs replacing, or could there be another reason?

Thanks for any help.

my wireless adapter works fine, but thats because the router is 3 meters from it. If there is no obstacles between the two, i would think your wireless adapter is shot. Btw, cable works much better :)

How far is your 360 from your router? Also, try activating DMZ for the 360's IP address.

This happened to me about a month ago. Try moving the wireless adapter to the front USB and see if it works better. If the problem is fixed there is a problem with the back USB port.

It may also bea problem with the adapter. Try taking the adapter to a friend's house and hooking it up to his Xbox 360 and see it the adapter is the problem.
