I use a wireless controller that uses a rechargeable battery pack. When I shut down my 360 (holding guide button, selecting shut down) the controller still flashes the 1 player symbol on the guide button and keeps flashing it. What gives? This doesn't happen to my other controller that uses batteries.

That's strange, when I shut down my console using the exact same method as you, both the console and controller go off. No flashing/blinking..

I use a rechargeable battery pack and it doesn't start flashing right away, it flashes after about 10 seconds. (It only flashes on the controller, not the 360.)
