Ok when ever I turn off my 360, the controller turns off too. But not all the way.It still faintly glows which I have discovered, makes the battery like complete garbage. So for now i just take the battery out.Anyone have a similar problem. It only glows withrechargeable battery. NOT AA Batteries.

thats part of how it stays synched with the box so you can turn it on from a distance, the wii and ps3 have similar systems, they just dont glow. My controllers usually last a week or two before I have to charge the packs though.

I had the exact same problem on the original controller that came with my 360. I called MS up about it and got a replacement. Had to ship it to them at my own cost, and they shipped me a brand new one back at no cost. It really doesn't eat up battery life, but it urked me so I changed it...

From my personal experience with this problem it does eat up the charge on the controller.
