Ok, my previous xbox (premium) got the RROD about a week ago, so I just got an Arcade system since I had the hard drive already, so today I put the network adapter on the back and its a steady red that it shows on the adaptor which i looked and saw that meant it was ready to connect to a wireless network, and when you go to test settings it says it cant find a wireless network, ive unplugged the router everything i can think of, i never had any problems with my other xbox, can someone please help me out.

My friend seemed to have a similar problem to yours, and for two days, he remained "Live-less." I used Remote Desktop and configured all his settings, and made sure everything was good on his end. Oh, you wouldn't believe the solution...

He had to choose his network SSID in the options (not exactly sure where, just look around). He said he never had to do that before with his Pro console, but with the Elite, he did. Yeah, all that work for nothing.

So, that may be the problem - but with a simple solution.

There are 2 possibilities:

There's something wrong with your new 360

OR

Your network adapter is broken.

Do you have a friends 360 that you can try it out on to test if it's actually your Xbox that's screwed up?
