I am frustrated at the fact that lots of games depict the women in them as super badass strippers, and not in a believable sense. Like does body armor work for women if its in biikini form? I'm not saying it sexist, but up just saying it makes the games unbelievable and tacky. If I wanted to see half naked chicks I would just go on the internet and look at realones insteady of CG ones.

Beyond Good & Evil.
Resident Evil (Ashley in RE:4 is debatable. She did have the alternate costume...)
Jade Empire.
Mass Effect.

Though Im not denying its exsistance, the clevage heavy women just are starting to become balanced with the amount of regular-clothed females. So unless youre playing DoA: Extreme Beach Volleyball, its not like every female character you come across are only wearing a Bikini and calling it armour.

Most women in videogames are over-sexualised cliches.

well games are not meant to bebelievable for one and the other stuff, well targeted folks for games pre pubescence guys that are thinking of nothing but the female chest or 40 year old virgin's that live in the mom's basement thinking of the same thing. unfortunately they do make up a greater deal of the demographics and programmers. me I don't fall in neither of these I'm the bitter just got divorce guy that at this point and time despises women, and no video games isn't reason for the divorce;) but for postive females in games Claire Redfield, Princess Zelda, that girl from that D game, zoey left4dead, urban choas Darci Stern, but I do see your point this is kinda hard to think of postive role model's. but I think until women are more vocal about It will not change, they need to start burning the virtual bras, if you will.

And males are regularly depicted realistically? Really though, what do you expect? Would playing as a regular person who isn't cool, popular, strong, fast or just all around awesome be fun?

I have a hard time taking games seriously when women in games are depicted like this. In a recent example, UFC 2009 is a good game but the obvious breast physics on the UFC girls is just unnessesary.

Women shouldn't have to be oversexualised just to be in a videogame.

And guys shouldn't have to be James Bond, Goku or Masterchief carbon copies but thats normally what we get. Of course both genders receive exceptions. but how sexualized shouldn't really decide how fun a game is and most games with women with huge breast aren't really asking for you to take it seriously, we are talking about games after all. Except maybe Tomb Raider and Jrpgs.

Away to satisfy a large majority of those who'll be purchasing the games also out of idea's and creativity i dont know about (Dead or Alive Extreme 2) though that was bit sad for any one who purchased that and im talking about teenage boys to grown men especially men.

Men are pretty unrealistically proportioned in most video games, too.

But yea, much of it is done to satisfy the 15 year old pubescent boy in all of us. Dont act like you dont enjoy it. 8)

If I wanted reality, I'd go outside.:P

I understand where you're coming from but there has been plenty of games where you have regular looking women. Also on RSV2 i think you can make a girl character for the multiplayer which still look as badass as the guy characters lol

So we play games with huge, buff, muscle clad dudes, who can conjure fire from thin air or slash off heads with a samurai sword. (etc, etc) But its the sexy female character in the game that suspends your disbelief. Really?

The world is simply too far into this whole political correctness thing.

Either that or someone had their girlfriend looking over their shoulder and they wanted to make a good impression...:P
