it will be fine. some games the text is almost impossible to read (dead rising).

i played for a number of months on a SDTV. i must say investing in a better TV/Screen would be next on my to do list if i was you tho.

Ive been on 20-26inch SDTV's since the Old xbox launch, and the 360 obviously looks a hell alot better, personally i havnt had the chance to play on a nice hdtv yet, so i cant really compare personally.

But im coping just fine with a sdtv.

I do want to upgrade though :/

you dont need hi-def
but of course they are pushing for everyone adopt it
I'm on a 32 tube tv, and its great for gaming, and it was tons cheaper than and hd one
as was said though, the text in dead rising is practically unreadable
other than that, its fine

it all comes down to how good the game looks by itself.

while it wont be in hd a good looking game is always good looking.

tho the ps3 suffers from the same thing as the 360, unreadable text from hell in some games.

looks miles better mate, definetally worth it.. u wont get a 360 and have ps2/xbox style graphics on them. i was on my standard tv. but if u go on ebay and get the vga lead for about £6 u can put it on ur monitor and get hd graphics on ur pc monior.

I've never understood why people ask this question. The games will play exactly the same regardless of if you have an HDTV or not. There are a lot of fantastic games on the 360 that are worth playing. Just because the picture isnt as crisp doesnt mean the game is any less fun. To NOT buy a 360 because you dont have an HDTV is completely rediculous.

It will be fine on SDTV, and ignore the "once uve played on htdv you will NEVER go back" crap.

My friends have a HD projector and we regularly play on halo3 etc... on it, yet im totally fine playing on my elite at home with my 28" sdtv. The gameplay is still the same just as people have said text can sometimes be a bit crummy, its not a big issue.

go play dead rising on a SDTV then come back and tell me that again.

some games almost require you use a hdtv.

Yes its worth it. But upgrade to HD eventually. Buy a cheap $200 or $300 19 inch like I did.

I have a 360 with standard def TV and it still looks great. Even Gears of War looked stunning on my Standard TV. Besides, it's gameplay that counts, not graphics.

they work fine. at SDTV level your usually not too worried about poor signals.

Yup it's worth it, I have a SDTV not as clear as HD ...But you can also use your computer monitor and my monitor looks better than my old TV so I'm going to get the VGA cable to hook it up to the my monitor. One weird thing while I'm playing Halo 3 on my TV, I can't see any character shadows .. Nothing seems to be casting off any shadows things like rocks ect, is their something wrong with my console?

P.S I got the RROD straight out of the Box I freaked out after I restarted the Xbox it worked :) it was a new xbox also
